Re: DLRP Lava Lagoon

Well i searched this site for lava lagoon info and all i got was the map above in some post about a third gate at Tokyo. I asked if anyone knew details about the park, there is nothing else on here. So you may "recognize" the post because it has the words "Lava Lagoon" in it but not because it has been posted before.

He means the image you posted. It's the one he posted on the site J9000 posted a link to.

The idea does sound very cool. I want to know: What is it with Disney and glass domes?

Re: DLRP Lava Lagoon

Hahaha no I don't mind at all, no applogies nessesary.

Disney and glass domes = year round operation. A water park in Paris wouldn't get the same time frame operation as one in Florida. Expensive with the thought (in the old days) of making back money more consistantly.

I don't know really of anything else except what I posted really. The park was to have had indoor outdoor parts (much like any current water park hotel) and from a far was to appear like a snowglobe with a volcano in the middle. This volcano would have been like Mounts Mayday/Gushmore and to have been there to hide the structures for the slides/rides.

No more artwork except for that one.

Re: DLRP Lava Lagoon

Glass domes... only in Japan have I seen this done with a water park. As for Paris.. it will never happen. Heck, it's anyone's guess if DLP will live to see it's 30th anniversary.

europe has tens of those covered waterparks with glass domes, we call it Center Parks

And DLP will never close, because The Walt Disney Company could not afford such a punch in their reputation

Re: DLRP Lava Lagoon

Hopefully DLP will never close, because The Walt Disney Company could not afford such a punch in their reputation, the French government could not afford the hit to their ecconomy! DLRP aids the ecconomy well, as does the infastructure built up around it, including the Val D'Europe complex it has spawned. That the reason fo rthe restructuring of the loans etc.
