Re: Best time to go

Best time to go is probably during Christmas season (beginning of november - beginning of january). Avoid school holidays though (around december 20 - january 5).

Few years ago July-August was so busy that people have started to avoid it and come either June or September. Which makes these months very busy. I would go on mid-July-August this year: longer hours, more shows, mildly crowded.. Less crowded days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather wise best month is June.

Re: Best time to go

best time are when either the french or british schools are in session,

worst time for crowds is week before christmas to january and the summer months (july-beginning of september) apparently march is very busy as well.

it depends, do you want a ghost town or some people mulling around? the park feels nicer with crowds of people, but then there are queues

personally, december (not around christmas) is the best time to go, crowds are around but the rides eat them up and there is never any queue.

Re: Best time to go

actually tref thats a good point, in terms of time, early morning (till 1ish) and evening (last two hours) are the best times to visit.

I like aroud bonfire night, never has been too busy for me, especially with the aid of FastPass. Plus the fireworks are spectacular.

Re: Best time to go

I went in early November the weather was fantastic, not too hot or cold. There is a chance of rain but the days we were there we had clear skies and a nice crisp Autumn feel in the air. Amazing sunsets on 2 out of 3 nights there.

Not to mention the Bonfire which is only performed 3nights out of the year at this time. Not sure what the significance of the Bonfire is still, it was explained to us by a little British girl with a terribly strong accent, but I have know idea what she was saying. Something about the French burning a traitor??? Of course Disney didn't really explain the history to this, but it was a Spectacular pyro display anyways. And the holiday decorations in the park are quite lovely.

The bonfire night is a british celebration. It is celebrated on 5th november and commemorates the foiled Gun Powder Plot of 1605 in which a man called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament killing the King (using 36 barrels of gun powder) He was stoped, captured and put to death.

On the very night that the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, on November 5th, 1605, bonfires were set alight to celebrate the safety of the King. Since then, November 5th has become known as Bonfire Night. The event is commemorated every year with fireworks and burning effigies of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire (a little detail Disney leaves out, i wonder why)

Re: Best time to go

I've been in both summer and winter and during the winter was SOOOO much better. There was less people and it was much cooler.

I also like the way Disneyland looks after dark. It seems more magical to me. It was strange going in June and having the park close before the sun went down. It was kind of a drag.
