15th Anniversary Castle Decorations !

OMG...I almost feel old. I had the pleasure of being there for the 5th anniversary celebration. For the occasion, they unveiled the statue at the entrance. I happen to know the sculpter. They had the castle decked out in a Hunchback of Notre Dame 'Topsy Turvey" theme. I'm glad they went for a more subtle look this time; this is already the most beautiful of the Disney Castles.

i was there opening year....i need a zimmer frame now, all music is terrible, and i need a sit down and a cup of tea every four feet.

as for the decorations, its nice and simple, (the best way) the new golden spires look cool, and it resembles the 15th logo pretty good. better than some of ther previous designs ( ie the marshmellow thingy)

I remember the Cake decoration for the 1st Birthday, but dont remember the 5th Topsy Turvey decoration. Does any one have a picture of a link to a picture?

ORDDU: My sisters and I rarely like it when they decorate the various Disney castles for anniversaries. After all, the castles are perfect the way they already are. However, they at least were more simple and subtle this time around. Maybe they're starting to finally 'get it'...

Does anyone know if the castle is reshaped completely with the special ones?

Or is it like a facade sat on top of it? Or does the castle come apart like lego?

the Castle need to be refurb . One side has been burned two years ago by a fireworks and you can still see the damage . I'm pretty sure that for the 15th that burned roof will be repaired .

Does anyone have photo of the fireworks damage? I was there two years ago (Nov. '04) and never noticed anything, nor did I know about it.

And how will the 15th Anniversary effect the holiday lights on the castle?

That must cost loads!

I must say I've never seen the fireworks damage, isn't it plastic?

Does anyone know if it is an actual building in the turrets? Or just a shell?

Rebuild what??? All they are doing is adding a few new accents to the existing building. The previous cake and 5th anniversary were just temporary facades molded to fit the castle.

The Mickey & Minnie are not centered and make the whole "15" thing look off center.

I guess they could have gone too far...but this is "going far enough?"...
