Been to both DCA and WDS? Which is better?

I have only been to DCA and judging by the design and amount of rides at WDS, Id say DCA wins. It seems there is more to do there and they have Block Party bash which is awesome, soarin', and alladin which I love, oh and girzzly river run. so what do you guys think. of the people who can actually compare them, which is the better park. I know a lot of people say they are both bad, but DCA still seems to bring in a lot more guest than WDS. what was their attendance last year? anyone know.

I've been to many theme parks including DCA and WDS (in Paris, of course.) WDS is the worst theme park I've ever been to, BY FAR. A new Tower of Terror won't save it, even if the ride before the drop tops the Haunted Mansion.
I think a fun day can be had in DCA.

i've been to both DCA and WDS and honestly i'd love to trade that '' theme '' park ( WDS ) for DCA wich is a way better .

I think if they had to put DCA instead of WDS it would work better than it is in CA because here in France people don't know a lot about California .

Plus they have a lots more LANDS to expand WDS . They can Expend WDS as the same size as Disneyland Paris next door .

That Means 90 000 + 90 000 that's a lot .

Re: Been to both DCA and WDS? Which is better?

Judging from what I read about, and videos and pictures I've seen, DCA seems to beat WDS. But I just visited TDS. TDS and DCA seemed to have a somewhat similar layout (TDS's lagoon in the front and DCA's lagoon in the back), TDS wins.

And I agree, I don't think a TOT in WDS will save it. But a new TOT not related to Twlight Zone for TDS could go either way...

I have been to both parks too and I enjoyed DCA a lot. It is a small, but fun park. You have different areas and a lot more attractions than the Walt Disney Studios.

I love the entrance of the Walt Disney Studios and the attractions are not bad. Moteurs, Action is a great show and the Rock'n Roller Coaster is awsome. There is some theming ahead for the Toon Studios and honestly I prefer Crush's Coaster and Cars Race Rally to a bug's land. Tower of Terror will be a hit in Europe as there is nothing which can be compared to it in European Parks.

Which means that I prefer DCA at the moment, but I think that the WDS will become a great park in the future

DCA is better the WDSP. The Studios needs the most work to make it at least a half day park. What they do have to begin with really isn't too bad but there is just not enough. With the exception of Rockn Roller coaster which I was extrememly disappointed with as it pales in comparisson to D-MGMs. The new additions to WDSP will really help them I just don't know how much it will boost attendance. DCA is a fun park which seems to be hated mostly by the locals who frequent the resort more and think nothing in the world can compare to the original DL.

I think the Studios just lacks right now...DCA has alot of potential for developing & really strenghening and adding to the themes that are there right now...but I don't know how many more themes they can add to it.

Whist WDS needs tons right now...I think down the road there will be less (thematic) issues adding things to it as opposed to DCA (but of course theme issues and money issues are very different).

DCA is worlds better than the embarrassment that is DSP.

It would have been a fine mini-park as a DRE (Disney Regional Entertainment) project for cities without a Disney park nearby ... but as a second gate next to the most amazing MK built? Pathetic.

Re: Been to both DCA and WDS? Which is better?

I've visited both parks and DCA is by far the better theme park experience. WDS is essentially a road with buildings plonked on either side with precious little theming. DCA is much nicer themed, especially the Grizzly River Rapids area. DCA also has much better rides. Can't really go wrong with Tower of Terror, Soarin' Over California, California Screaming, the 3D movies and Grizzly River Rapids, while all WDS can muster up is Rock N Roller Coaster and Magic Carpets! ToT and Toon Studios will help WDS a little bit, but a lot of work is needed to get it even to the level of DCA.

Re: Been to both DCA and WDS? Which is better?

DCA is I.M.O. the better of the two, for now....

ToT and the two completly original rides for the toon studios will make WDSP a lot better (remember most visitors will never go or have ever been to a US Disney resort, so ToT is original enough to make it work).... and with the placemaking allready underway, the park will eventualy be a great park...

but there's a lot to be done, and for now we'll just have to wait till EDASCA reveals it's plans... the park DOES have great potential....

DCA however has much better theming, and if WDSP would be anything like the hollywood pictures Backlot, it would be a close call...

WDSP just misses rides like in the category of Soarin' or the superior California Screamin' over Rock 'n Rollercoaster...

even the Disney Animation building doesn't have the feel or look DCA's has

but WDSP has the room to grow tripple it's currents size, so if the 2007 ride boom has any effect, the park will eventualy dwarf DCA
