Going to DLP in October, can some help?

Hi, I've been trying to sort out DLP in october, we are considering the Davy Crockett ranch as a hotel because it offers accomadation for many without multiple rooms and we haven't been to that one yet.

Before now we have always booked through leger, but just discovered it is loads cheaper to go straight through DLP website. Anyway I have a few questions.

1)There are six of us (2 adults, me (I'm 15), and 3 other younger children, will the Davy Crockett accomadate all six of us in one bungalow thing?

2)We will be leaving the UK on the 18th arriving in the evening, we want to stay in the Hotel on the 18th, go to Dinseyland Park on the 19th and stay another night, then go to WDS on the 20th, but we dont want to stay in a hotel on the 20th. So if I book from 18th, 2 nights classic package would that suit us? Or would it mean we needed to use our park tickets on the 18th & 19th instead of 19th & 20th?

3)Does anyone have any experiences of this hotel? Any good?

Cheers for your help, -Tito-.

Re: Going to DLP in October, can some help?

the normal tickets (if you get 2 day hoppers) are valid from when you 'activate' them (in the turnstile) and normally have a experation date (think its april for ticket increases), i havent done packages for a while though and it may have changed, but you just get normal tickets with your room keys when you book in (or did)

the ranch is about 15-30 min drive away from the parks, havent been there though,

if you are booking travel through disney as well, look around they are not normally the cheapest option, (a good neighbour hotel, tickets and ferry were about £70-80 cheaper than the disney package for us the last time i stayed,)

We definitely want to stay in a Disney hotel though, I am checking the internet now and I'll take a wander to a travel agents in the morning.

So the tickets aren't limited to definite dates?

i dont think so but check, i havent done a disney package in a few years (found the wonderfully large discounts under 26s get on eurostar)

it may have changed but i doubt they are. you can buy hard tickets from a disney store and there is no date.

my spelling is rotten i need sleep

The ranch isn't actually a hotel. It is a campground with bungalows. You need a car to get there and it's about 10 minutes drive to the parks. However it is very nice campground and the bungalows can accommodate 6 people. You can choose either one or two bedroom bungalow. Pool and activity possibilities are better than in park side Disney hotels. It is possible to rent a bike, but haven't ride to parks with them.. maybe it is possible, I don't know.
