Big Thunder Mountain is about to close for 3 Months !

Sunday is the last day of Big Thunder Mountain ( Mission 1 ) and they are going to work on it for 3 months .

They will work on the mountain itself and they will add the AirGates and some other modifications .

Could you imagine Disneyland Paris without his biggest family ride . Space Mountain and Indy doesn't have the same heights resctrictions for kids so Casey Jr will be the only family coaster in the park till mid october .

Respect that this rehab is going ahead, even through I kind of feel bad for those who will miss it but you need to understand Big Thunder needs it.

But so is the rest of the park so what else is new??? Take a look at the waterfall in the chateau.

But yes, last time I saw BTM in April it was filthy with mildew! Definitely needs major TLC. I shall be there on the 26th this coming week, and will check it up on cleanliness again. And hopefully catch "Wishes" since I have never seen it in Paris in person.

Re: Big Thunder Mountain is about to close for 3 Months !

It was needed BUT it will also show how another ride like this is extremely needed in Paris. I expect (and hope for) tons of complaints from the guests. It is still the most popular ride there. DLRP is in desperate needs of something like Splash Mountain or even better ('cause of weather issue), the Indiana Jones ride from California.

WDS needs to be fixed but it will not provide anything big enough that would apply to the whole family like the two rides I mention above. I do not always understand what the management is doing there.

Good luck! Wishes is not good as a firework. Be prepared to be disappointed! Enjoy your time there though!

Changing the parks one name at a time, haha.

And about the Indiana Jones Adventure/Splash Mountain comment; I wonder if either of these have ever been on the Parisian "maybe" pile at all? It would definitely be grand to add something to the list of E-tickets for adults who'd like a break from vomiting. As it is this demographic tends to linger between Phantom Manor, Pirates and Big Thunder Mountain and it sort of ends there. An Indy or Splash Mountain would upgrade the park more than a thousand Buzz Lightyears ever could. And they've certainly got the space...

Right, money. Ah well, things could be worse. It could've had no Frontierland...

Re: Big Thunder Mountain is about to close for 3 Months !

I feel sorry for the first-timers who don't get to experience the amazement that is Big Thunder Mountain, but we should be applauding Euro Disney for this move, not booing them. They are doing the right thing.
