![]() | Yep, the changes are immediate. I have updated Wikipedia to the new CEO. I am going to write a Wikinews article as well. Does anyone know where Lacroix is going? |

![]() | Well as Holz was COO and president previously, I would assume it was him and Lacroix making all the decisions. So nothing distract will change, and the plans for the Studios look like they are going ahead still. |

![]() | This is interesting news I just hope he just does not take a U-turn back to the Rasulo days of the park looking shabby and old. Please god I hope he carries on as good as Lecroix has done, I say well done Lecroix making the resort being great again, hopefully this will be continued in the future.

![]() | This sounds pretty good to me. I don't mean to diss Lecroix but wasn't he the pres. or CEO of Burger King before he worked for Euro Disney ? Replacing him with someone who's had more experience in the theme park industry sounds like a smart business move. Let's wish him the best of luck! |

![]() | I met Karl a few times years ago when he was in charge of Downtown Disney at WDW. He seemed quite nice and was well-thought of by the rank-and-file CMs. He did move up the ladder awfully quickly though and was VP of Epcot when a lot of bad things were going on (how much this was his fault and how much was Al Weiss' is debatable). He had even more responsibility thrust upon him when he was named one of two Sr. VPs of Ops for WDW (with Epcot, the Studios and a bunch of resorts under him). This was not a great time for WDW as quality, upkeep, show standards, CMs etc ... all took major drops. It's very hard to say whether or not Karl was good for WDW, bad for it, or neither. Same with DCL ... he was barely there long enough to have an impact. I wish him the best. Maybe he can stay in this position for a while and help clean up the financial mess (debt) as well as the creative mess (Studios) at DLP. |

![]() | This is very interesting news indeed, and I'm quite optimistic. Holtz has already asked the chief maintenance staff for a list of the hundred biggest show and effects problems of the resort, (geysers in Frontierland, La Cabanne des Robinsons, etc.) as he has a mind to fixing them up. He's already making himself popular with the CMs, simply by appearing to care. Does anyone know why Lacroix stepped down, by the way? |

![]() | I'm pretty sure we will have a lot of changes with Iger , because Eisner has not invested a lot into Euro Disney their Biggest European Project . so now we have to say '' wait and see '' . |

Well I was at the resort a few weeks ago, and have a friend who works in management there. He works very closley with the creative/show management teams, and they were the ones who were asked by Holtz to compile the list of show problems. It appears he wants to start a returnt o the fine details that really mark the resort out, and which have been gradually disappearing over the past few years. As for Lacroix leaving, the rumours I heard last night have it that he was brought in specifically to halt the slide towards bankruptcy and re-launch the resort. (He did something similar when he was CEO of Burger King and 7 UP.) Now that his mission has been accomplished, it seems that he is stepping down to let an old Disney hand take the reins. | |
