Not that I don't appreciate the effort, but all the trees in Oregon couldn't make that ride appealing.

And meanwhile, where are the trees to cover up its rusty backside--also known as the view from your €300 Disneyland Hotel room?

I do appreciate the fact they are trying to add some greenery to this slab of concrete-type park. The photos look nice, and I sure hope it is the beginning of a renewed WDSP. I also hope the guests will not trample the gardens and be discouraged from camping in them garden areas as they do at DLP's hub. So rude when they do that!!!!

Re: WDS is getting some theming ?

I'm also told that the soil in the new flower beds will soon be covered by a layer of sand, in the same way that the entrance to Adventureland is surrounded by sand dunes. So the oasis area should soon be looking even better. (Bear in mind that many of the low level plants have yet to sprout, so the flower beds will really fill up by summer.)

Some more good news - the Production Courtyard placemaking is due to start on January 9th. They'll begin with the mini Hollywood boulevard. A few more details have emerged, and it seems that a lot of plants and trees are going to be used to line the new Street Set, including a number of fake palm trees, identical to the ones found inside Studio 1. The new set should be finished in time for the opening of Toon Studio in June this year.

I am glad that they are at least trying to improve things after 5 years! And I think that we should not give a final judgement until after the completion of the whole Toon Studios. I am hoping that the overall effect of then new land will be great!
