![]() | Are these all essentially clones of their US counterparts? Then again I don't know enough about Anaheim's new Space Mountain to know for sure if DLP's would be the same. I'd assume Buzz would basically be the same as would TOT. Toon land? If it was going to be Toontown, why not just say Toontown? Perhaps something different to better fit the studio environment? Thanks Ian!

![]() | DLP's Space is definitely different that DL's. So, no, that is not a clone. Buzz will likely be. The Toon Land is supposed to be a more studio based are. It won't be a copy of Toontown or Mickey's Toontown Fair. It might end up a mish-mash of different things like a Bug's Land from DCA as well as trailers for Mickey & Minnie. From the look of it, it could be a mini "Pixarland" with a Finding Nemo coaster or Incredibles ride on the drawing boards... |

![]() | Speaking of Finding Nemo, I am hope they green light the major project at DL...though, I would love to see this small one here as well...it sounds cute. ![]() Duck! |

But since this will be merely an overlay, we can hardly say that it's a new attraction either. I'm happy that DLP is going to be getting some stuff, but new and original would be better. I'd much prefer it if they'd also dust off those plans for Geyser Mountain, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. I'm really sick of clones (and frankly, I'm scared about what they're doing to Space Mountain - - why mess with the best ride in the entire world?) | |

![]() | Sadly, from what I've been told, the Tower will be the DCA scaled-down version, not the glorious WDW original. |

![]() | Jim Hill's website has an interesting story on what may be the concept for the new Toon Studios. http://jimhillmedia.com/mb/articles/...le.php?ID=1247 While I think adding the Toon Studios is a great idea for the Studios,as they simply isn't enough for family's to enjoy together.I need to question them adding a Tower of Terror attraction. This is a major expensive attraction and Im just thinking would the money be better spent on other areas of the Studios.Like on other new attractions or adding more shops and resturants to this small park. Also Disney's California Adventure added there own Tower of Terror last year and it didn't really spike attendance in the way that Disney wanted it too. Also exactly where does a Hollywood Hotel fit into the theme of a Studios backlot. |

![]() | This is so cool, Tower of Terror and Toon Studio's could kick the life back into Disney Studio's. I don't know why they are changin Space Mountain though, the old one was really cool and different, the Jules Verne theme was amazing! Buzz sounds good, I like the ride in WDW so I think it'll be a good addition.

![]() | I think they're changing Space Mountain because it's the easiest and cheapest way to create a new E ticket experience to boost attendance. It's kinda of sad that they don't have enough money to just build a new attraction and leave Space Mountain alone, but such is life.

I guess some ideas no matter how old they are never die. Quote:

![]() | To be a little fairer to DLP (and I'm no fan of the Studios at all) the Studios does have a some original attractions :- Stunt Show - soon to be copied at WDW - very good Armageddon - OK Animagic - not very good Cinemagic - not very good I know it's not much but they are originals, of course DLP has :- Indy rollercoaster Aladdin walkthrough !! Western walkthrough Nautilus walkthrough and Space Mountain - same name, very different ride They also had the first Timekeeper attraction (Visionarium) There are other unique attractions in Paris, but I agree we need more or at least copies of some of the greats, like Splash Mountain. The Aladdin walkthrough is ok, but more impressive is the surrounding section of Adventureland - the Arabian Bazaar. When will someone make an attraction that does this brilliant film justice? The "Legends Of The Wild West" walk through is another case of so-so attraction in great surroundings. Cinemagic is, in my opinion, a great attraction let down by its surroundings. This celebration of cinema is presented in an auditorium that looks like they just stuck some seats in a big warehouse (hang on..) when it should be in something akin to the surroundings for Muppets 3D. Animagic needs to change regularly to make me want to see it again - all the promo pics I saw for it had Pinocchio and Monstro, but neither featured in the version I saw. I never got to see Timekeeper in any of it's incarnations so can't comment of how much of a loss that is, but as I understand it Buzz will be an amalgamation of existing versions to create something different. If we must have clones then the Studios needs something like "Stich's Great Escape" (but create a better story to compliment the great technology). Plus, you can never have too many Indy clones... Here's hoping that "Toon Studios" has Philarmagic shoe-horned in.

![]() | For a bit of fun late one night we did the new and improved version of the Aladdin attraction. Using the same theme as the Indy ride had at the time we did :- Aladdin - Backwards!!! - basically we went in at the exit and walked through the whole show backward, WOW what a buzz! Ian
