For those unfamiliar: The full Thunder Mesa and Phantom Manor Backstory

You even get to hear a little of the original Vincent Price narration:

Re: For those unfamiliar: The full Thunder Mesa and Phantom Manor Backstory

Actually this isn't entirely correct. First off, the map refers to the geysers as 'Old Faithful'. I assume this is referring to the never built Geyser Mountain, in which case the geysers were in fact named 'Old Unfaithful'.

More importantly, it also says that in 1860, the family mysteriously vanished. However, the official story is that Melanie's parents were both killed in an earthquake (their graves can be seen in Boot Hill). Melanie did not vanish until her wedding day. When her groom came to fetch her he was hanged by the Phantom (Mr Henry Ravenswood himself). Melanie was forced to stay in the house, mourning her lost wedding until her dying day.

If you could cite a watertight source for this, perhaps I could finally fix the Wikipedia article.

The best I can find is an official document that Happy Haunts have translated from French:
http://infinity-elite.com/hauntedweb...unts/story.htm

It doesn't actually state that Henry is the Phantom, but it is clearly implied, just as the house being haunted is implied.

Thanks, I'm sure that'll do.
