![]() | I'm stopping by DRP on my way home from a business trip in Finland and could use some transportation advice. I arrive to CDG @ 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. My flight to US leaves @ noon on Friday. Is the RER the best mode of transfer to/from the Holiday Inn? I'll have a carry on size suitcase with wheels and a backpack. So, stairs are doable, just not fun. Also, I'm a woman traveling alone. Not overly paranoid and I can get myself around public transportation, however, don't want to take unnecessary risks. Any ideas on taxi fares for those routes? thank you! |

![]() | Re: Transfer to/from CDG suggestions There are a million Holiday Inns in the Paris area. Which one will you be staying at if you don't mind me asking? However, I can tell you the best way to get from CDG Airport to DLP is on the VEA Bus. (I think it's called VEA... big red busses that operate between the airport and DLP). To take the RER, it would take longer... I believe you have to take the RER B from CDG to Chatelet les Halles station, then transfer to RER A going towards Marne-La-Valee/Chessy/Parc Disneyland Station. I am sure you will get better advise here... give it a few hours.

![]() | Re: Transfer to/from CDG suggestions What I don't know is... does the Holiday Inn provide complimentary rides to/from DLP and the hotel itself? Or is the HI accessible from the RER station? Because if you can get yourself from DLP to the hotel, I would take the bus from the Airport to the park and then hop on their shuttle, or the RER to the nearby station closest to the hotel... I just hate taking the RER on long trips... specially since it takes about 30 mins from the airport to the city, and then another 35 mins from the city to DLP, whereas the Bus from the airport takes 25 mins in good traffic.

![]() | Re: Transfer to/from CDG suggestions Yes, the Holiday Inn provides a complimentary shuttle service to DLP. I'm concerned about the hours on the VEA. I believe it runs until about 7:30. If my flight/luggage are late, I may need a back up plan. Thanks again TDLFAN. I read your report. I have to get mentally ready for the smoke. |

![]() | Re: Transfer to/from CDG suggestions Oh well... let's be positive about your flight being on time. Not much I can recommend about escaping the cigarette smoke... I am surprised no one else from the Paris area has posted their suggestions here...

I work for Helsinki Airport.. if any info needed there, I'm happy to help. About Holiday Inn Disneyland Paris, there's only four direct VEA bus per day so check the schedules at: www.vea.fr Next option is to take VEA bus to Disneyland Station and change to free Holiday-Inn shuttle bus. Third and cheaper option is to take RER, but it takes a lot of time. | |

![]() | Re: Transfer to/from CDG suggestions The fastest way to get to DLRP from CDG is by the TGV, it only takes 10 minutes and DLRP is the next stop from CDG. But it costs around 27 euro one way. The train departs from the station inbetween terminals one and two. If you have not got alot of time at the resort this is realy the best way for you. Right to the heart of the resort (Marne La Vallee) then take the free resort bus to the Holiday Inn. I use this method every time i go, quick, easy and alot more comfortable than the VEA. PS. My first ever post, hope i could help. Last edited by DLRPbigfan; 04-03-2007 at 03:38 AM. |
