Disneyland Paris or Disneyland California? Where should I go next?

My husband is a Disney nut (that's why I love him so). We went to WDW in February and thought that would be in for the school year (we can only take the kids out for 10 days). But while we were there, it snowed in Pittsburgh and school was cancelled for three days. Now we have our three days back, and Mark wants to go to a Disney park.

Here is my dilemma: We have only been to DL twice, since it is a long plane ride. But lately I have been wanting to go back after reading the new Disney biography. My husband flies for JetBlue, so we can fly for free on that airline and USAirways (he use to fly for them too). The USAirways flight won't work for us, so we could fly to JKF from Pittsburgh (1 1/2 hours) and then JKF to LA (6 1/12 hours). That would be a total of 8 hours. Now, we could fly over the Atlantic and get to DLP in that time. We have been there once last year in February. But it was so cold that I don't want to go at that time again. We would leave arrive on Mother's Day but would have to return on Wednesday. This would not give us much time and I would really want to spend some time in Paris this trip.

So, what would you do?

Go to Disneyland Paris, is what I would do personally.

By they way, JFK-LAX is only a 5 hour to 5 1/2 hour flight, depending on the jet stream.

However, jetBlue does fly A320's, which are slower planes than the 757's that UA flies and the 767's that AA flies, so it could take longer on B6 to get to BUR or LGB or ONT. I've only done JFK-OAK and JFK-SMF on B6.

its a ton of travelling for 2 days, that said, day in paris day in the park could be done.

Look at what you want to do in the parks and the surrounding areas as well as the other finiancial implications involved ( hotels, food, exchange rates etc) that will be the kicker

french schools are in so it will be busy but not hide in fetal position busy

personally i would go to cali, as the dollar euro exchange rate is hideous for you at the moment, ( that said for me, very good!)

I would go to Disneyland Paris since they are celebrating their 15th Anniversary right now. Plus you've already visited Disneyland twice. However, visiting Disneyland means that you would at least get a decent second gate and not something like Walt Disney Studios.

Compared to Walt Disney Studios, California Adventure is very much a decent second gate. However, it is still near the bottom of the list of best second gates.

It would be the worst if it hadn't been for the WDS. But they're both bad. Pigs is pigs.

Yeah, that's why I said it's all relative! DCA is "decent" relative to WDSP.

Disney-MGM or Walt Disney Studios Paris? WDSP is what is being talked about here, not Disney-MGM.

I know what you meant. I was agreeing with your statement, not disagreeing with it.

WDSP is pretty bad, but they are trying to add new things to it to make it better. You have to give them credit for that. And, everything always seems better when spoken in French.

Tokyo Disney Resort, hands down. Disney theme park experiences do not get better than in Tokyo.
