That was the same commercial they played for the opening of California Adventure's Tower of Terror.

It irritated me when they used stock WDW footage for the DCA Tower Commercial. It irritates me even more that they used the same commercial - stock WDW footage and all for Paris. Lame.

Its a cool commercial, no doubt. But mixing the two distinctly different Hotels in one very brief commercial is just kind of lazy and cheap, IMHO.

I agree. I'm glad that Tokyo DisneySea's Tower of Terror got a new commerical and a special website specifically dedicated to the storyline of the attraction. But I guess that's because it's totally different from the other Tower of Terrors and because the Oriental Land Company was in charge of promoting the attraction.

But now this. Though the Tower of Terror in Walt Disney Studios is a clone of the one in California Adventure, couldn't the Walt Disney Company at least have edited the old commercial intead of recycling it? It's just sad.

I think this is just a fan editing with a DLRP logo at the end instead of the Disneyland logo

I hate that too. Disney seems to do it a lot.

I agree I don't think this is real, but Disney has no excuse for this attraction. Filming could be done at California and I would bet even I Disney fans wouldn't be the wiser except that Paris' building isn't finished.

I'm surprised noone noticed something else about the commercial. (Or perhaps it was pointed out when the original commercial aired for DCA's Tower). They used some footage of the "Tower of Terror" movie that they sell on DVD in the gift shop... Looks to be from the opening 1939 sequence of the movie.
