Pueblo Trading Post

I just discovered that the Pueblo Trading Post was formerly used as a boutique, selling indians items... I didn't know that there was something inside...
It looks so pretty !!!

Anyone visited the place before it closed ?

Re: Pueblo Trading Post

It is still open. Those photos were just taken after a particularly busy day!

Sorry, never been in it.

Re: Pueblo Trading Post

Cool. I love that adobe/pueblo style. Where is this? Near Critter Corral?

It's in front of the Keelboats, before the Pocahontas playground.

Re: Pueblo Trading Post

The Pueblo Trading is located right before the former Canoes dock, Behind the BTMR. I visited several times since back then, I had some southwestern motif decor at home and did buy some nice indian (native american) crafts there. It was a great spot to stop by on your way to riding the canoes... I miss it.

Re: Pueblo Trading Post

It was a fantastic shop, especially when all the water features were working. It was a little like a miniature version of the Swiss Family Robinson tree house in that respect.

Woo I got a quote of mine in a signature...

Re: Pueblo Trading Post

Another reason why DLP annoys me. I used to absolutely love this shop, and I own some artefacts and jewellry bought there.

I remember the days where you could buy an antique car, hand woven rugs and baskets from the bazaar, native american wears, and hand carved wooden materials.

Now I can buy snow globes, pins, pirates, plush and princess crap. And people wonder why I am losing heart.

No argument there.

Why/when did it close anyway?

If memory serves, about 1999. They did reopen it in 2001 for the Halloween Tiff Hair Salon.

Re: Pueblo Trading Post

Sad, very very sad. I think DLRP needs to build Hollywood Blvd then stop for a moment, living off ToT's hopeful success for a little while they freeze any new construction and give the whole place some TLC, make it spotless and then expand. If you make a bad cake, piling icing sugar on the top isn't going to help it's just going to make a mess. Not that DLRP is a bad cake but it will be soon if they don't do something

Someone mentioned on another thread that it was the first store to open at Euro Disney.

And the first to close, it seems.

I mean, I can't think of any other stores that were closed (permanently) in DLP. Robbed of their dignity, yes, mangled to a shell of their former selves and continuing to exist only to push plastic, China-produced baubles onto unsuspecting guests who won't know that this now lobotomized place once sold felt hats, yes, but no other stores have been euthanized so far.
