Re: More Good News for the Studios!

Thnaks for posting that clip.

That film shows it's a AA (albeit one with very limited movement) - I like it as a short 'n' sweet surprise. No great shakes, but a nice addition to WDS.

Re: More Good News for the Studios!

I think I would have preferred a puppet - at least it wight have had a little more personality.

Yeah, it seems a little odd to me. The chef seems to make a big deal about unveiling Remy, but when he does the figure just moves side to side and backwards and forwards a little then he just closes the lid.

Re: More Good News for the Studios!

It is definitly not a puppet it is a Animatronic, he can not talk but that is because in the film Remy can't talk. But he is great, here are some pictures:

And me and my girlfriend

Re: More Good News for the Studios!

NDJnr has a toy called Little Chef Remy. This toy has more movement than this pretty unimpressive AA (sorry, its just an 'A' isn't it, since audio is not involved).

Don't get me wrong, this is a step in the right direction although things like Muppet Labs will be harder to place in DLP due to the language restrictions. Wall-E will be both easy and a no-brainer to do something similar with but how about an AA Pluto or dalmation pupp that barks?

You haven't seen him in real life and now you already judging. The movement of a toy is not better then this Remy that is just redicilous. Here is a new video of the Remy AA. And this are only tests if this works then probably a better remy will come.

Re: More Good News for the Studios!

Well I don't know whether that's inspired or a little weird and uneffective. If they're gonna have a proper Ratatouille themed restaurant maybe it would make more sense, maybe with him welcoming people in at the front or something but this is perhaps just a bit weird (and not overly impressive, not that I've seen it in real life).

Re: More Good News for the Studios!

Sorry but, that is just NOT impressive. He dosen't blink, I didn't even see his eyes move, his arms don't appear to move either all he seems to do is move up and down and side to side.

If I missed something let me know but after seeing Lucky, Muppet labs and Wall*E this Remy just dosen't compare.
