    Re: Fantasmic Seating ???

Last year my friends and I went down on a grad trip. We saw glimpses of Fantasmic the night before, but no one else in my group had even seen it and they wanted to get a really good seat the next night. We decided to wait during the fireworks until the first group of people watching Fantasmic got up (in the middle right up against the ROA). I didn't know that they have CMs clean up after the first show though after the fireworks. We got a seat but they told everyone to move behind a temporary rope they set up and as they cleaned more people gathered and it became a free-for-all when the rope did go down. It was nice and clean but I recommend you bring a weapon of some sort if you want a dead-center seat during the second show... or jump nose first onto the ground and try to take up as much room with your body as physically possible.

Thumbs up Re: Fantasmic Seating ???

Just an FYI. Not sure how old your kids are. If you have strollers, and you are in a sitting area, you will be requested to place your stroller in a separte area.
LOL ... no problem there ... kids are teenagers.

Hey, it's easy, plan ahead and call for preferred seating: 714 781 4400
... that will have to wait until when the kids are out of college.

I just thought you didn't have a good experience because you actually saw the WDW version

    They will LOVE Disneyland's version.

    10:30 show, no questions asked.

People start saving spots for the 9:00 show really crazy early, so if you want a good spot without the wait just lurk around and wait for the 9:00 show to end, and then swoop in and get a spot while everyone is clearing out.

Less waiting, less interaction with crazy people, more fun.

For extra points bring a caramel apple from Pooh Corner to keep you company.

AH HA SO THIS IS TRUE.

A woman asked me about this and I had no idea, I felt so horrible. But now I know.

And knowing is half the battle.

But be warned priority seating cost somewhere around $60.00 a person.

if any of your seating options fail, change locations to near the smoking area closest to where you exit off the tom sawyer island rafts. you'll see the harbor galley, smoking area is in that area, keep walking down closest to the rivers of america. make sure to stand as close to the dock exit as possible, the umbrellas block the views alot. It is also a good (or bad, depending on your view) area to see alot of the behind the scenes magic.

    see you there!

I agree. Maybe not a great idea if it's your first time seeing the show, but if you are ready to see some of the behind-the-scenes magic, it's fun to hang around by the hungry bear. You can watch princesses and monkeys get on and off of the rafts, and also watch the pirates unload. They know people are watching them, so they are all in character. It feels like you have your own private show because it's so much less crowded than the front of the ROA. Keep in mind you can't see most of the show, or the stage, but if you like the characters it is a fun way to go.

Can I just say Thank You So Much for this thread?!!
I'm right in front of ROA as I type this on a borrowed iPhone -- I would have never thought to view Fantasmic from this spot (at the control booth, 10:30 show) if it wasn't for MiceChat. Thanks again!

    Two more questions, please:

    1) Where is the Stage Managers Control Booth (is it easy to spot)?
    2) Do we miss any of the image screens by being dead center, is this the best spot?

    Thanks.
It's really not that complicated. During the day when it's "normal" you can tell where the best spots are. I have sat on all sides and you can see fine even if you aren't "up super close" I sat way over to the side (not critter country side, thunder mountain side) and I realized I could make out the stuff on the water screens better.I'm not saying thats the best spot, but there is so much going on it's pretty hard to miss even if you aren't dead center.
