wholly yeez mariez, someone needs to take a chill pill. Just because we say "bring them back" doesn't mean we're saying to bring the cars that have been destroyed back. We mean bring the ride back in some form or another. I think we all understand that you're saying the old cars are gone. destroyed. kaput. No one's asking for the Rocket Jets to come back from some warehouse somewhere, we just want a ride like the rocket jets up where it belongs. No one would be offended if Disney made all new submarines (we know that's not going to happen because of ADA/grandfathering issues) because it'd still be the submarine ride whether they were new ride vehicles or not.

Anyway...

What would probably happen is they'd ship the PPM cars from WDW and they'd get the new cars.

there is a TON of stuff that everyone can do, i would love to see something like Rocket Rods come back, i was fortunate to have ridden them once and i had a total blast. i'll never forget the thrill of the wind whipping my hair back as i got a bird's eye view of the place, and without someone in front of me on a crowded coaster either! sorry i'm sure you guys have probably seen a zillion boards about this but i'm new so forgive me for asking - why did they take down the rocket rods anyway?

Too unreliable, destroyed the track. If you would like a more in-depth analysis, there is a search engine on the toolbar for micechat, and believe me, you'll find pages of people explaining why it's gone lol. Comes quite in handy

ah. figured there was some obvious answer to that question, and an equally obvious way of finding it for myself. well, thanks for pointing out the obviousness anyway and being nice about it.

Hey Escape, you are aware that the Peoplemover is coming back right? No I don't have any news, but those who know me from VF know that I am forever the eternal optomist for Peoplemover's return. We know we aren't going to see the old cars or the old track, so holster that smiley for now. But you have to believe that Disney isn't going to just leave that track sitting there forever. One day it has to be addressed & when it does, Al will get to report on another attraction budget approval!

I found this pic at Tell No Tales. Its actually a 640/480 desktop and they have a larger one there as well (and a whole bunch of other pix too!)
