I swear all the photos out there are mostly old skool ones and it's like in that era right before the internet digital cameras and took off it just didn't exist
Just Google "Peoplemover/ Disneyland". I found a bunch!

Those are all the old paintjob or are from disneyworld's tomorrowland transit authority. I've looked through google search phrases before, and like I said there are only a very few couple of photos with the more recent incarnation of the cars, and not very good ones.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

I've got pictures burried somewhere in boxes burried under some other things ... I'll eventually get them posted up.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but has anyone seen the peoplemover train just sitting there on the side of the Disney cast building? It serves as a rather nice bench.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

It's been a fixture there since the TDA building was completed. It's the only "tribute" to the Peoplemover on property, that I know of. I've also seen other ride vehicles hanging from the ceiling of the "Eat Ticket" restaurant back there behind "Small World's" showbuilding.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

Cool.

Hey, whatever happened to the peoplemover train that was in the queue for Rocket Rods?

Or is that the same one?

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

I believe it was a different one.

Oh .. I can hear it now ...

"Now Escapé, you told us they destroyed ALL 62 trains!"

Okay .. so they demolished _most_ of them. I wouldn't doubt a few imagineers have a train or one of the cars stashed in their private collections. Or if one or two might be preserved for an Ebay sale. In the last 15-20 years ... there seems to be a greater push to preserve some things when a Disney theme park ride bites the dust. Even the Mighty Microscope makes it's appearance in Star Tours.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

I wonder if that one peoplemover train still has blacklit glow-orange tape on it.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

That picture is so funny.

It's the poor-man's version of the eleborate "pre show" Rocket Rods was going to get when GM was the tentative sponsor.

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

figment, I don't think anybody has ever mentioned the ADA in regards to the PeopleMover coming back. If speedramps are used again then a wheelchair could go up. Maybe some sort of special car with a built in ramp could be designed.

Mosst likely if they rebuild the ride.. they will try to add an elevator like how WDW has an elevator...(that way when they add the rocket jets to the top again if they do,.. it would be easy to get up there as well.. and as said.. it canot be hard to have an Wheelchair car onlike 5 trains....

Re: Peoplemover updates...?

Does the elevator at WDW go to the TTA loading deck? It seems like that would require stopping the attraction to load as you would be ont he outside of the platform.
