kaliwolf, the video you posted is outdated. More recently they had the planets spinning continuously.

I noticed when waiting to see pixie hollow on Sunday October 18th. The planets were only spinning when the ride was in motion.

I'm not there to be able to see the current setup, is this function still happening? Are the planets moving at all while the ride isn't going?

Right now (at least what was happening yesterday) there is no independent motion of the planets at all. Everything is standing still while stopped and when it turns, everything just turns together in one motion. The entire thing turns as if it were one piece.

    AARGH.

Let me explain. The planets that are on the diagonal axis (i.e.: the smaller, spinning ones) do not spin at all. There is no movement or spinning when the ride is in or not in motion. The entire structure (with the exception of the rockets and the general rotation of the structure, of course) is motionless.

Do you get what I mean?

That is what I was talking about, too! The planets no longer spin when the rockets are not going. When the rockets are going, the entire top section also spins in the same direction. For whatever reason, broken again or not, they are no longer spinning. It just looks cool when they were back spinning again after no working for so long. So it'd be cool if someone actually knew what was going on.

And if they aren't broken, why the heck aren't they spinning?

Sounds like they lost power to the entire upper section.

Thanks for posting that! It looks cool! I'm sure ours will probably be similar. Where is the crocodile, though? I had thought there'd be a fuzzy character crocodile playing the trumpet or something? I didn't see it in the video

Thanks! The crocodile looks really cool! =p I haven't really seen him in the commercials, but I think it seems like a cute character, and also a great park fuzzy. Can't wait until the show debuts November 6th! =)

    He's not a crocodile, he's an alligator.
