The new stroller facility was always scheduled to be complete "early 2010." I never saw anywhere where they wanted it open by the holiday rush. Also, they were to have the new WOC viewing area done by Dec 18 which would have made for wider walkways through there. Even so, they still had no plans to have parades go through there due to the Little Mermaid work. Still, I'd rather see them take longer and do it right than try to rush it.
Not sure why the parking lot is taking so long though. I am able to see the new parking lot and there were many days, even before the rain last week, where no activity was going on. Took then a long time to even put the lights up. Now it's just been sitting there again with no activity for the past week. I am assuming they needed to let the ground dry some before paving. But seems like they could get it paved and striped by Christmas Day if they really wanted. But I do agree, Disney just does not want to spend extra money to get it done. They are already spending a lot on the buses to and from all the lots. That's enough for them..
