Hmm... the Pooh Sweets Shop is closed. Wonder if it's just getting a make-over or they'll be expanding it or something.

Pooh Corner is still open (see the sign on the refurb wall), but as for the Sweet Spot... I'm not sure. I see an opening there, on the far right of the walls. That matches up with the entry way there, but without seeing it in person, I can't say for sure.

Probably just a standard refurb. Nothing special.

Or maybe they're putting in that fireplace that someone suggested a while ago. J/K

    Re: Disneyland Project Tracker

Okay, I've tried to vet through the last few pages to figure this all out.

I'm a former Disneyland cast member (Jungle Cruise Skipper - 1992) who hasn't been to Disneyland since 1999. I now live in Minnesota and am taking my 5 year-old son for the first time. It looks like the Rivers of America area and all the attractions (Tom Sawyer Island, Mark Twain, Columbia, Canoes, Fantasmic, etc.) will all be closed when we are there in 3 weeks, which is sad, but there will still be PLENTY for him to see. Plus, since we live in St Paul, MN we have experienced the REAL river on riverboats, islands and sandbars! I have also never seen California Adventure either, so we'll have a busy 3 days at the parks to be sure.

I looked on the website and also found out that the Matterhorn will also be closed; my wife is disappointed, as it has NEVER been open when she has gone!

My question is: (other than Honey I shrunk..., which I don't care about) what other attractions should I be prepared NOT to see?

    Thanks!

Hmm...I'm doing this without looking anything up, but my guess is in 3 weeks, Haunted Mansion and Small World should be back from their holiday refurbs, the Tomorrowland Terrace and Starcade I think are closed until Feb. 1st..and at DCA, Redwood Creek Challenge trail, Ladybug Boogie and something else is closed later in the month to early feb..I think that's it (other than Orange Stinger, which is down for the Silly Symphony Swings remodel).

    DONT:

    - Innoventions (puke, sponsor/advertising heaven)
    - Muppets 3-D (Bleh)

Things like It's Tough To Be a Bug and Mr. Lincoln will be fun! Especially with a 5-Year Old, try some of the smaller, less crowded things out, along with any big rides.

I was in there last Wednesday. I heard they delayed the refurb unless it's closed now.

    Been wondering about this myself.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
