This is what the Astro Orbitor structure looked like yesterday:

The blue I was talking about is that knobular part halfway up the full structure, but it's misleading to say it changed color, because it always was blue.

Here is a reference picture from about the same angle:

Decide for yourself if it's the same shade of blue, but it's too imperceptible a change if it is. Now, as for the magenta: if you look in the bottom right of the second photo at the teal-green pole that's holding up the planet to the side of the Orbitor structure, those poles are being repainted a deep magenta (there are three or four of them). You can see it in the extreme bottom right of MintCrocodile's photo.
Looks like one of the new pieces has changed. In the new photo there is that maroon-ish piece under bubble wrap. In the older photo it is blue in the same spot. So as of now we are seeing some minor changes.

I still don't understand the point of refurbing it now if they are just going to remove it next year anyway.

Even if they were going to move it next year (which is most improbable), they should have it working, which it hasn't been in a while. DCA replaced the railings around the fountain in Sunshine Plaza even though it is going to be removed in a short time because they were bad show.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

To those who mentioned the Lafitte's Tavern sign, I believe that was removed months ago, back when most/all of the entertainment was removed from the island.

How recently was it on the guide map? I was under the impression they stoped listing it awhile ago.

    Re: Disneyland Project Tracker

    In regards to the AO:

If you look at the gold on the bottom of the tower, in MintCrocodile's photo, you'll see that it's actually a darker, richer gold than what was there. And, in fact, it looks like the other small gold section, further up, has been changed to that same richer gold.

I'm liking these new colors (the blue, silver and magenta, too)! I can't wait to see what it looks like, once it's done. It certainly seems to be better than what we thought (only silver and blue), and what some MiceChatters came up with (although, they were good, too).

You can see those in this thread: Astro-Orbitor and Cosmic Waves behind walls, BTW.

while on the tram headed into the park on Saturday morning some of the AO pieces were backstage and some of the planets appeared to be blue now with gold on the outer structure
