Do the same people who supplied the Magic Show also do the kiosk in Downtown Disney? There has always been that one there outside of World of Disney. Wonder if that will disappear also?

ok Crystal arts is another one... Silhouette Studio is more of an attraction/exhibit than an actual "Shop" thats why its a Studio

true... but the Music Shop is more DVD's than anything. and CD's are the mass produced music item of today - I dont think many people have phonographs or record players (although I have one and play all my dad's old disney records)

and why couldnt they come up with a new system for Disney on Demand Kiosks?!?!?!

I'm sorry, but this doesn't make sense to me. Since when can you buy something from an attraction? And why is it listed under "Specialty Shops" on the DL website, then?

Does this mean the portrait artists in NOS are an attraction, too? Or the leather engravers in Frontierland (outside the Pioneer Mercantile store)? Or Off the Page in DCA, because they have an artist in there drawing characters?

Where does it stop? When does it stop being a store and become an attraction?

I'm just not buying into this...

the product is not a ready-made item... it is something that the artisian has to make...since you sit and watch them make it - it becomes an exhibit. this can also be said about the Candy Palace Kitchen - the product that they make isn't readily available and you get to watch them make it - making the window an exhibit... as it exhibits how the product is made and since Disney has these in full veiw of the guests thus makes it an attraction.

if you need more... The Emporium is another prime example(granted its main function is a store) but with the addition of the Vignettes on the "2nd floor" it then becomes part exhibit. the vignette show a glipse of what services actual turn-of-the-century department stores had. the idea of them being an exhibit is further implied by the fact of the amount of detail in them and the presence of moving mannequins.

since they all sell a product they are also shops

We all know that every Disney establishment is an experiance, do we need to argue about what kind of building everything is really? And yes, how is that dragon doing?

I know they broke the new dragon, but what happened to the old one? The past two times I went, I've waited in a cramped space for what felt like forever, and then no dragon! At all!!! It looked kinda silly, to just have Maleficent really tall.

    Re: Disneyland Project Tracker

They had to take the old dragon out of the pit to install the new one. So the original dragon is long gone. Probably had to be dismantled to get it off the island.

My guess would be ship it to Florida so that DHS can use it for spare parts for their Fantasmic! dragon.
