I haven't had any issues, and I'm sorry to hear about that. Seems like kind of a negative idea for a thread, though, to ask for all the stories about CMs not behaving correctly, doesn't it? =/

    Re: rude cm's?

I've only submitted one comment to City Hall over a rude encounter back in '05. This girl (she was pretty young) was just plain awful.
I have alerted a few leads and managers I personally know from time to time over potential problems, like the young guy who was so busy attempting to make dates with the girls at The Plaza Inn, that nobody was getting their pasta!
Also know I am even quicker to praise and submit commendations. I try to go out of my way to encourage great CMs for keeping the spirit of Disneyland alive.

The girl working at Innoventions was really quite bratty. When no one was answering her dumb questions she went on this pouting party and didn't say anything until the entrance doors came around again.

She was really the only negative experience I had with a CM during my trip, though. I had many great CMs that outnumbered that one!

    Re: rude cm's?

Understanding that there is a difference between a rude CM and a CM that may be having a bad day and "sticking to the rules", cussing at a handicapped person is inappropriate and I can understand your need to vent on it...I would.

My only bad experience with CM's was 3 years ago in Space Mountain. The area when you wlk into the loading room where the exit is before youstart going down, 3 teens had come in and cut in line. There were over a dozen people in line (not a group, but strangers to one another) that we all said something to and they were very rude and couldn't have cared less. When some of us asked for their supervisor, we got the same bad "whatever" attitude. When I was leaving I reported to to City Hall (with both CM's names) and apparently others in line with me had to because they were already up in arms about it when I reported it. I assume those 2 CM's caught some hell for that.

I'm very happy to report that I've never met up with a rude CM. Disinterested yes, rude, no.

Wow this is a weird thread coincidence.
Yesterday I was in store after you exit BLAB and my friend was buying pins. Well, of course they do the "buy $20 worth of pins and get a free Tiki Room pin every month" thing. I know it was the second Sunday of the month, but we were going to see if they had anymore (my brother and I got our Jose pin on a second Sunday before). He bought over 20 bucks of pin stuff and I asked the CM if they had the Pierre pin. She said, "We're all sold out." Thinking it was just that store, I asked her if she thought any of the other stores would have it. She replied in a very snark tone:

"NO. I'm pretty sure that the entire park is sold out, SORRY." When she was telling me and my friend this she was giving us the meanest look on her face.
As I walked away I made the p'o-ed cat ME-OW sound. It made up for it since my entire group laughed.

Not trying to defend her actions, but the BLAB store was a very stressful place to be yesterday, with the release of several new pins. People were lining up for them outside the park at 4am (I was called in to help with guest control for that event). Many CMs aren't really interested in pin trading, whereas the people who come to these, it's "omg SERIOUS BUSINESS!" and with these pin fanatics running around all morning, tempers can run a little short.

There was one woman who got her limit of pins (y'know two of a certain pin per guest), and she was so desperate to get more she argued with a bunch of CMs, the store manager, and it got to the point where she was harrassing other guests to wait in line and get pins for her. Security was called and she was escorted from Tomorrowland. It was a little more than annoying.

But I don't want to go among MAD people!

Oh, it was a madhouse in that store yesterday. I understand, just the whole tone of her voice and the attitude towards us that threw us off. That was really the first time that has ever happened. From what I've been told working in high stress circumstances, expect the unexpected and always keep your cool, IMO. It was my friend's first time there in nearly 10 years, and I just wanted him to have a little something extra.

EDIT: He started pin collecting yesterday also, that's why we asked for Pierre because he didn't have it.

    Re: rude cm's?

I have had a rude CM story. It is not that interesting though. My girlfriend and I were ordering a cookie from Pooh's corner and after we told the CM what we wanted and she had started to ring us up my girlfriend decided she wanted a piece of candy. When she told the CM if we could add on the candy the CM rolled her eyes. I didn't necessarily punch in the stomach but I thought it was rude.
