Post The Great Return of Mr. Lincoln

The other day, I was on the Disneyland website, and I spotted something very interesting. Under tips and fun facts, I saw this:

Probably just something that wasn't updated from 2004. The website hasn't changed much in years.

I have to agree with Luke on this one... probably hasn't been updated. I wish they would give the regular site a spruce up to match the satellite sites like HalloweenTime.

You didn't find a hint or easter egg, but rather a mistake that was overlooked when they changed the attraction. Maybe you should reap the rewords by emailing Disney about it. Maybe they will change it, maybe not.

Well, all I know is they have to update The First 50 Magical Years because it's obviously been over 5o years since DL has opened. Either they update it or bring back Mr. Lincoln. Something is just bound to happen.

BTW, I think it might be starting to rain at DL right now, because it's raining here and i live near Irvine.

Yeah, this looks like it is an update issue with the site. Back in 2006 we were looking for handicapped information on all the rides and it was a travesty. They listed the Handicapped entrance for Big Thunder as being "up the ramp next to Haunted Mansion and onto the Train Station Platform where a conductor would help you onto the train."

It took a letter to the resort and 2 1/2 months for the information to be updated. They aren't always the swiftest about keeping things up to date on there always.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

When I was in 50 Magical Years last year I was talking to a CM and I asked when they are going to bring Mr. Lincoln back and he said the Imagineers were working on a new patriotic show but it still needed to be approved, well since that was like a year ago I guess it wasn't apporved.

You would think on such a highly visited website they would at least have someone update it as much as possible...

I really hope they bring it back. Once they added the 3-D sound/Civil War storyline, I really got into the attraction. It was a pretty awesome experience and was a chance to get off my feet, not to mention that few people knew/cared about it, so it was never crowded. As it is now, I rarely enjoy watching Steven Martin in theaters, let alone Disneyland.

But if he does this, he might get a letter sent back to him saying how Disney cannot read it due to legal concerns. He could come back and sue Disney for taking his suggestion to update the site! Imagine the $50 lawyer fee Disney would end up paying for that! Guest suggestions are terrible things that should never reach Disney because they could destroy the entire company... or so I am told by the legal department.
