Well, last year Ariel got legs for the Parade and danced with Prince Eric on the Princess float, so she couldn't be in her Fin on the blocks float.Not sure if it will be the same way this year or not.
They should put back Roger Rabbit in that unit anyways
I forget which character replaced Ariel on the toy block, but they also rebuilt those floats..much more glossy fiberglass mold looking that hand fabricated/cut wood.
Please consider the environment before printing useless emails

In the past, Woody and Buzz shared one Block float. This past year, Ariel joined Eric and they coupled up with the other Royals, while Buzz and Woody each got their own set of blocks.
Neither returned calls for comment on the split.
Woody's and Buzz are new floats from last year. I like it better this way having Ariel with the other Princess and getting to see Eric as well. I hope this year I get a good picture of her in her Teal dress. I could never get good shots of her in that dress. Here are some I'm talking about.

Yup. The two old toy block units were scrapped, the drive units still intact in the Disneyland parade annex. The two toy blocks that replaced them were woody riding a wooden horse and buzz riding a rocket ship. Ariel has been added to the Ballroom unit along with Prince Eric.

Jeez why is Ariel always in human form now? After her grotto becomes Pixie Hollow the only time we'll see her as a mermaid is in Fantasmic! and the POD...sad

Well, in some ways I kind of think it stinks that because Ariel is in mermaid form, Eric is often not with her (the only exception I've seen to this is Fantasmic!).
Take me to Neverland...
There will be more changes to the Christmas parade this year with the replacement of another float. Then come next year another one or two floats will be replaced.
The parade is basically being refreshed yearly so that it does not become stale
What float are they replacing?
I believe they're getting an entirely new Toy Factory unit, but don't quote me on that.
