Thanks sassy*tink, for finding those. However, those girls are not the actual Fairies. They are just the prototypes, meaning the girls they cast should look similar to them.

The playsets and various other toys as well as numerous books and plush toys, etc are already available and have been for quite some time actually.

Ahhh, but lots of young Disney fans are avid readers of the Pixie Hallow books! Beck is my daughters fav. But I suspect the same fairies is the books are not the same ones in the movie, sans Tinkerbell.

Oh, I know about the prototypes of how they will look, but it's fun to get excited about them.

And, yes, people will know who they are. As a Disney Store CM, fairy items were a big seller and we had quite a few guests asking when the new Tinkerbell movie was coming out, if we would be preselling it, and I told one guest about Pixie Hollow and she flipped out and couldn't wait to see it. So, I'm not too worried about kids knowing who the other fairies are.

They could be part of the real Fairies even though it's a prototype they may use these girls as well as others. They may even start with them for a few days when they get it open. I'm not denying you that they well be it them but I'm also saying they could be as well.

Beck is my daughter's favorite too. But she does have both of the series of dolls from the Disney Store - so she has Fawn, Silvermist, Iridessa and Rosetta and knows them by name. While we just really would have rather seen the movie and the DL characters based on the original books (Beck, Rani, Lily, Fira, Bess & Prilla) - we are really looking forward to the idea of meeting Tinker Bell (and finally having her autograph!!). I just keep dreaming that they will open it before we leave on October 25th!
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

i find it really very interesting that they started this whole franchise backwards from traditional... they started with the merch to see if it could sell, and then made a movie to get box office cash and bump up already high sales in the stores. this all started because tinkerbell is such a popular character!

I agree. It started with the books by Gail Carsen Levine *sp* and kinds spread from there. I'm glad Tinkerbell is finally getting some attention. Besides just being known as the icon for Disneyland.

I don't think she's officially the/an icon for the park. The main one is of course Sleeping Beauty Castle, but she is also used often.

I meant besides the Castle. Walt used her though because if the park was a flop he didn't want Mickey to be connected to that, so he picked a smaller side character...hence Tinkerbell starting the Disneyland shows he did and Wonderful World of Color and such. I consider her an icon for the park.

I REALLY hope Tink won't talk while she's in the parks interacting with guests... I would imagine it would be different from having a huge mask over your head. If Tinkerbell let out just one word that wasn't bells, it might ruin the whole thing. And how are they going to do the bell thing anyway? They have to have the bells.

I think since they all talk in the movie that they might talk in the parks. I agree though, that they should have the bells around somewhere...like when they show up or leave or something.
