The crowds have been fine this summer, i would expect moderate to best for you. You can definitely feel the thinning of the already few people they have had this summer.
It'll be even more empty if you wait till the beginning of September, I think, but it should be fine either way.
Sorry Timmy, i'll be out there with my 7 year old, and she is a crowd all to herself!
For the thinnest crowds I would wait until after Labor Day. Most public schools in Orange County start after Labor Day.
Although some private schools are starting up now, including all colleges except for UC Irvine which starts in late September.
So Cal passes just became un-blocked this week, which could cause a surge in attendance.
Over here in Northern California, schools have already started - the jr. high started yesterday, the elementary school starts toady and the high school started to day.
hahaaha, wow.. am I glad we dont start school for another week.
