Alright then, say Disney leaves the Mansion alone for a couple decades. Doesn't touch it at all. I know some (or probably most) of the MCers on here would complain that it should be updated, and that its stale, same old same old, and unexciting.

Rides like the HM need to be changed and updated from time to time. Do you want HM to become like Star Tours where it hasn't changed since day 1 and let it become boring, stale, and worn down?

No. No I didn't. (Insert foot into mouth).

Well, then go back to the old new change!!! I liked it better that way!! If the inspiration for the changing pictures in the first place was Dorian Grey, I say make the pictures Dorian Grey-esque!!!

(As you can see, I'm a ranter, and when rebutted, and bounce back pretty quickly)

personally i like Constance and the picture effect is great with the disappearing heads. It was a way of bringing to life the idea of the hatbox ghost(in fact Constance is almost where the attic bride originally planned to be). since the effect of the original figure didnt work the attic revamp is GREAT... all the elements that give it a story... each strand of pearls on Constance's neck, the hat rack with all the husbands hats, the change in Constance's smile in each portrait... granted it is scary but isnt most of the youth of the world desensitized by media and movies? But i do agree BRING BACK APRIL/DECEMBER!!!!!!

It might upset a few parents as its a bit dark,
    but,
I still maintain a Nursery room is in order.

Maybe on the left side of the Endless Hallway.

Nothing big, just a pile of letter blocks, a hanging mobile thats turning backwards,
a girls voice ( giggling & fading in out and saying "come & play ) and possibly a Dolly with a head that slightly moves every now and then.

The creepy girl talking and giggling would be more than enough, but lets have a Jewellery Box version of the theme tinkering away but its off-key and distant.

It'd be cool, but it's pretty hard to make that work in the mansion. It's crucial that the seance circle, graveyard, and exit do not become "contaminated" with even small amounts of fog, because that would reveal the projection effects--Madame Leota, singing busts, the "traditional" ghosts rising out of the graveyard, and Little Leota--to be projection effects. All the realism would vanish. That's why the graveyard uses scrims and projections instead of real fog. Now, it may be possible to use it in areas like the loading area and the earlier parts of the corridor of doors, but the ventilation would need to be handled well. I don't know how well it'd work.

I disagree. I don't think it'd fit with the rest of the mansion stylistically. Maybe for HMH, but not for the regular mansion. And the space issue is a big one in either case because the show building is pretty jam-packed. There isn't much space for any new areas to be added to the attraction...you pretty much have to start ripping stuff out for that to happen. For example, the left side of the endless hallway may look like the perfect spot for a nursery, but what few guests know is that there's just a relatively small backstage space between that and the back of the ballroom scene...and let me tell you, anyone who messes with the ballroom is automatically on my hit list.

I think if they put in a ghost it should be named after me! The Mansion and I appeared to the world at the same time!!

Interesting idea! But don't they already have a parade like that over in DCA?

O.O That would so freaking creepy. If you asked me a few years ago if Disney would even consider putting that in the Haunted Mansion (in which almost every creepy thing in it is paired with something funny), I would have said there was a snowball's chance. But now that they've added Constance and seemingly seem to be moving in the direction of the eerie, who knows, they just might pull off something like that!

And yet there is fog in the same scene in POTC that has a projection on the left-side fort!

Yeah, but that projection is like a story up (typically out of the fog's reach) and even then, I think the fog still messes with it a bit. (Sometimes it's really blurry).

What about updating the progections in HM to internal digital progections? eliminating the progection and fog issues..the ballroom's still an issue though.. I'd personaly love to see fog in the seance circle, to add a more surreal feeling to the scene, as long as it's well maintained I think it'd be very cool.
