The New Disneyland Trading Cards

That's right... There are new Disneyland (and Disney World) trading cards available, but they won't be sold at Disneyland or a retail store near you. These apparently are through McDonald's. They are most likely packaged with the new Happy Meal toys being released this upcoming Friday.

Although information is very sketchy at this time, it appears that the Happy Meal toys will be coming with a promotional card featuring an attraction at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, but the catch is that the cards may be mixed up and no particular card will be put in with a particular character. Although it is not clear how many cards there are in total, we do know that there are more than the ten toys being sold at McDonald's.

The cards include: Sleeping Beauty Castle, Cinderella Castle, Remember, Fantasmic!, Cinderellabration, The Haunted Mansion, The Matterhorn, Expedition Everest, character cards, and others.

I'm sure more info will be available this Friday, but I just wanted to let everyone know about this. Happy Trading!

Re: The New Disneyland Trading Cards

Hmmm. I had heard of a set of Disneyland trading cards coming out in celebration of the 50th but I was under the impression they would be a full set of 90 cards or so. I wonder if the plan was changed or this is just a separate card set.

I've been asking everywhere for the Disneyland trading cards and no one seems to have heard of them. Please post if you have any information.
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

I couldn't find anything on McDonalds corporate site, but a lot of this info can be kept secret. If anyone finds out more, please advise. BTW, did notice a press release for McDonalds/Dreamworks deal.

Hey yensid98, would you be referring to these?
If so, there's a thread about them here
If there's yet another set of 50th trading cards, someone please do let me know so I can promptly part with some more of my money.
My finger points.

I have new information on these. There are a total of 50 cards. There is one card hidden in a black plastic wrapper inside each happy meal toy. There are only 10 toys. The cards are smaller than usual size, but are heavier than the regular paper used. Today I recieved card 5 in the Mickey Mouse Happy Meal toy.

Just wanted to let y'all know! Check em out!

Re: The New Disneyland Trading Cards

I got the Mickey Figure (which is very cool) and got the Sleeping Beauty Castle lenticular card. There is a stand that has a plastic pole that Mickey's feet go over (they really don't work very well and the hole is bigger that the pole so it isn't a tight fit and the least movement will cause him to fall off) and two slots in the back to place the card in. The base is shaped like Mickey's Head. I saw one in the display for Stitch. That is the other one I want. They only had Mickey and Minnie at the place I was at yesterday.

Okay. So now I have one more, card #10. My Minnie Mouse figure came with Mickey's Phillarmagic. This card shows Aladdin on the Magic Carpet with Donald following close behind.

I only have three cards so far, but I'm going to need to get the whole set. If anyone wants to continue this thread (or start a new one) specifically to trade doubles, I'd be game...
