Disneyland Theme Park Action Figures!

You could call them dolls, too, if you want to heh..but my idea is, what if there was a exclusive set of Disneyland action figures, sculpted with the detail of the McFarlene movie/sports/comics figures? This would be a very neat way to get to take home some of the Park's specific, famous characters...I am thinking here of having a series include, say, the Headless Knight from HM, Harold/Abominable Snowman, The Auctioneer Pirate, Jose and a Tiki Room Chanting Pole, Wicked Queen from Snow White, a coral looking base with Nemo and Crush from the Subs, Indiana with the crashed boulder backdrop from the ride, etc.

These would be slightly higher end collectibles and park specific, not the same cartoony style in most cases they offer for toys/figures in the park today. With characters like Jose and Nemo, they would still be recognizable cartoon characters, obviously, but done in a high quality sculpted manner, not a simple plastic figurine.

Your thoughts?

The outlet in Las Vegas had some superhero type figurines, they were sort of transformery, all robotic looking, I can't remember the name of the line, but they weren't higher end they were 8 for a pack of 2 at the outlet. Next time I'm at the outlet I'll see if they still have them. I like collecting the little cars that are modled after disney characters, it's really beautiful how they design some of the characters into the cars.

Heh, glad to see I picked one everyone knows The Headless Knight may be found in HM just before the Hitchhiking Ghosts, a tall fellow, cradling his removed head, in a suit of armor. He is found in the company of the executioner and the small, bearded prisoner HHG.

I have seen these, and I think they were mostly Disney cartoon characters, not park ones....didn't really strike me as something I personally liked heh. Why they are robots escapes me. Oh well.

Star Tours did have their theme park specific action figures from hasbro for a while. I personally would love to see a lego disneyland line!

Those were pretty good mostly yes, I liked the Rex droid figure most.

The HM figures were certainly for my money the best park specific figures they have done, even if a odd scale...but the accessories really made those figures. If they made them larger and more detailed, we'd be set heh.

So far, the Disney park figures that AREN'T made by Hasbro are pretty shoddy at best. They had figures for The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean and while they had their hearts in the right place, the execution was pretty bad.

If McFarlane were to make them, then yah I'm all on board.

I'd go in another direction - Cast Member action figures! I think it would be hilarious to have a shelf full of action figures that looked like the attractions Cast Members in their different uniforms. Only Disney nerds would know what they were. They could do limited-edition versions with the old Space Mountain outfits, etc.

I must admit, having HM Butler and Maid quality CM figures would be awesome, though I'd want them to be slightly more ghosty/spooky skewed.

Great idea. I would definitely buy these. HM could provide many great figures. Like the Bride with her ax could be amazing looking. Mad Hatter and Alice would be cool. Maybe even Mr. Toad.
