The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

How about Disney's Mineral King. Use "K" lot and buy up all the surrounding hotels and motels on the block. Build a giant dome and a large mountain. Theme the whole thing like a ski resort!! There could even be an attraction named, "Mineral King Skyway." That way those of us who miss the DL Skyway would be happy. Maybe a Minetrain Through Natures Winter Wonderland? Since there is a bear on the California flag there could even be a theater where bears get up and sing and dance!
In all seriousness, someone wrote in a previous post that they like the idea of having a name that was general and then the park could have many different "Lands." I think this is the best idea. You just never know what the future may hold so why pidgin hole yourself with one theme. If one land doesn't work it is easier to fix it or remove it , Holidayland. A whole theme park is muck harder to fix and would be a nightmare to remove, if it was even possible.
Also, do any of you know if Disney owns any other property besides "K" lot? A friend told me that they read in a newspaper a few years ago that Disney bought all the shops and restaurants and hotels between Harbor, Ketella, and the 5.
They own the strawberry field and they also do own some of those other small properties, but I don't think they really want anyone to know exactly which ones. I know there have been a few hold outs who want big money, so they don't quite own all of that property, but bascially I think they'd like to get their hands on all the adjacent parcels they can. Some people may know specifics than I do.

I agree
That's good.
That's better....
Personally, I think one park is plenty - if they would just direct all of their attention to fixing the original, then all would be well...but I do like Soarin' and Screamin'......but if we could make them all 'one park' that would be good.
That's good.
Agreed!

Your Life is an occasion, so rise up to it.
Considering the smashing success of California Adventure, why not another state-themed park?
Disney's Delaware Detour, maybe.
Haha! DISNEYLAND II: DISNEY HARDER
In all seriousness though, someone asked me earlier (i think it was unclebob) what I would plan to be in a 3rd park. I think I'd start making a list of possible lands that go along with the original Disneyland. What would come after Adventure, Frontier, Tomorrow, and Fantasy?
If DCA is going to tackle nostalgic Roarin' 20s, classic Hollywood and Los Angeles, Wilderness, bug's land, and Seaside Pier, what else is there?
I think I like the idea of having ports of call like in DisneySea, but I don't want the entire park to be based on that. I want it to be similar, but with all new lands... and maybe one or two that are the same.
I'd like a land based on Ancient Greek and Roman Mythology.
