What is your favorite Dark Ride?

After reading hollywood1939's thread "What makes Peter Pan's line so long?"

    (which you can find here)
What makes Peter Pan's line so long?

It made me think of who enjoys what dark ride the most.

Mine has always been Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Not because you go to the bad place, but just because I love that almost everything is cut-outs and 2 dimensional. Also it's just alot of fun!

Let us know what your favorite is!

I'm voting for Alice! I love that it's 2 stories. Only complaint is how hot it is in the Royal Rose Garden.

Alice. Hands down. I love how long and colourful it is. I love how three-dimensional it is and the songs. And who doesn't want to ride a giant technicolour caterpillar?

Closely following is Peter Pan because of the experience, but right after that is Snow White's Scary Adventures. Why? It's the scariest ride in the park all about a witch who's trying to kill a little girl. Then the witch falls to her death and the ride has the gall to say "And they lived happily ever after". It kills me everytime. All that gruesome death and doom followed by happily ever after? Win.

Alice and Roger Rabbit. Alice because of the multi-level format and the outside sections, and Roger Rabbit for the spinning.

Peter Pan and Mr. Toad are very close seconds and thirds, Monsters and Buzz aren't the best, but they are great when it comes to lines and pure fun, and Snow White, Pinocchio, and Pooh are last. I haven't been to DL since Midway Mania's walls went down, so I wouldn't know how cool it is.

However, there are many classifications for Dark Rides. Rides like Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Pirates, and Indiana Jones classify as dark rides in my mind, not sure about yours.

yes, that's why I put "other". I was originally going to put 10 as Toy Story Midway Mania, but then realized about the ones you just said.

and to the Alice lovers, I agree! That is always an amazingly good time!

It's a tie between Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion for me. Hence "other."

Out of the options given, however, my favorites thus far are probably Snow White and Roger Rabbit. Snow White is enjoyable for the scary factor, and Roger Rabbit has a few interesting effects--and I like the spinning. That being said, I've never been on Peter Pan, and it's been quite a while since I experienced Alice in Wonderland, so my opinion might change based on either of those.

Datameister, you gotta try 'em out! There's a reason why the lines for Peter Pan and Alice are so gosh darn long.

I love Alice, but for me Snow White wins out of the ones listed....not counting HM, of course, which is my favorite of any type of ride. Snow White is awesome of course, as has been said, due to the morbidity of the storyline, skeletons, scary trees, bats, and having the witch try and drop a rock on you and getting killed by lightning, and then having the nerve to be all bright and THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Most Inappropriate. Ending. Ever!
when the spooks have a midnight jamboree....

Oh, I know. I check every time I visit the park, but I'm so spoiled on more immersive dark rides like Pirates and HM that I can't bring myself to stand in said gosh darn long lines. I'll try to go during the dead weeks of early December--I'm sure there'll be some point at which the lines'll be sufficiently short for my tastes.

With Peter Pan you pretty much get on it first thing in the morning or not at all. Even then if it's not a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday and the Magic Morning People are seeping through the line might still be outside the enclosed cue area by the time the park officially opens... Magic Mornings make me sad... and tired.

Yeah, I mean I would agree with pretty much everything there, except for Splash Mountain, as being a dark ride.
