Just wondering... if anyone here was at Disneyland on July 17th, 1985 during the all-nighter party to launch the 30th anniversary of the park.
That was my very first visit to DL ever and probably my most memorable as well.. especially when the clock hit midnight and they lit up the castle with a nighttime rainbow reaching to the skies and 30 giant lit up balloon candles soaring above the buildings on Main Street USA...
Was anyone there as well on that magical evening???
I was there with my family. The park opened at midnight and they began allowing "regular" guests in at 8 or 9. It closed at midnight. 24 hours! Lots of fun!
I had a family member that attended that party. I was only 3 years old at the time so I was not there. Does anyone have any pics from that night? I would love to see them.

I was there for the 10th, 25th, and 30th...as well as the 40th and 50th.
Still have unused tickets for the 30th...

No, but I was there for the 24 hour release party of Star Tours. I still have a swatch they were giving out for that.

1985 was my first trip to Disneyland. I was 6. We weren't there on July 17th, however, we were there about two weeks prior. I remember we were in San Francisco on July 5th, heading back to BC. I remember all the firework wrappers on the beaches in San Fran from all the 4th of July festivities.
We still got all those scratch tickets from Disneyland that they gave out at the main gates for the 30th. We actually won a prize one day, a plush Mickey and Minnie.
Yep. And that included dinner and parking!
That was a 60 hour party, not 24.
