Suppose "rockin'" came back....

...and say, Disney decided to try this approach a little different. By spending money INTO this, they decided to let you pick your soundtrack for your ride. I mean, you could pick the song YOU wanted.

Some song ideas:

FOR SPACE MOUNTAIN:
- Aerosmith- Back in the Saddle
- The Clash - London Calling
- The Cult- She Sells Sanctuary
- Ted Nugent- Just what the doctor ordered
- Led Zeppelin- Rock and Roll

FOR CALIFORNIA SCREAMIN':
- Don Henley- Johnny Can't Read
- Red Hot Chili Peppers- Love Rollercoaster
- The Rolling Stones- Where the Boys Go
- Foghat- Slow Ride

Just my 2 cents

Re: Suppose "rockin'" came back....

For Space Mountain it should be the Bee Gees. It was open in 1977 and we used to go to DL a lot because of that, at the time. And during this time period disco was really big. For this reason I guess, Space Mountain reminds me of disco music...

Re: Suppose "rockin'" came back....

I can see people not liking Space mountain transformed, but rock music improves CA Screaming.

Re: Suppose "rockin'" came back....

I like the idea, but think it's impractical. It wouls cause too many issues and what if the person next to you wanted a different song, the sound would travel too much.

Also, I really hated Rockin' Space Mountain. It lit the place up and the sound track wasn't as good as the one they currently have on the ride.

However, I'd like to see Screamin' come back with a new song, preferably The Boys of Summer covered by the Ataris. It fits almost perfectly with the layout of the trtack. Try it by bringing up a Screamin' onride video and playing the song while playing the video. It's pretty good

I could try different seats, but that could be too hard...

Re: Suppose "rockin'" came back....

A few days ago, I brought my ipod with me on Space Mountain to listen to Muse's "Knights of Cydonia". It really took the ride to a whole new level and I'll probably try it again in the future.

Re: Suppose "rockin'" came back....

Space Mountain:
Harder Better Faster Stronger - Daft Punk
Cowboys - Portishead
Earth Intruders - Bjork
Strict Machine - Goldfrapp

California Screamin':
Love Will Tear us Apart - Joy Division
Smack My B**** Up - The Prodigy (yes, highly unlikely.)
Walking In The Sunshine - Miss Kittin & The Hacker
Survivalism - Nine Inch Nails

Of course, I'd love to have the Dick Dale track back on Space Mountain.
But unless you chose your song in the queue, this could cause massive delays.

Nice!
I love Muse so I may give that a try myself.

For the most part, I like Space Mountain as is. The only other song I'd be willing to accept is the original Space Mountain track by Dick Dale.

I like your choices for Space Mountain though I'd sub out "Cowboys" for "Mysterons" or "We Carry On"

If you do try it, just make sure you fast forward to the ending part at some point before the ride ends. Thanks to the 5 minute waits this past week, I also tried Muse's "Map of the Problematique" and that worked pretty well. Next time, I think I'll try Radiohead's "The National Anthem".
