I really miss the strawberry churros from DCA. Regular cinnamon churros just aren't the same.

I really like Dole Whips, Redd Rockett's pasta, Bengal Barbecue bacon wrapped asparagus, gumbo, chili in a bread bowl, Taste Pilot's Grill burgers, and River Belle Terrace breakfast potatoes.

I agree with these three posters. I can't pick just one!

The Plaza's Fried chicken. Whenever we tell my hubby we want fried chicken the kids always say, the one in DL. WE live 8 hours away but when we get in the park our first meal is always at the Plaza for chicken.

It's basically just a deep fried burrito. I think the ones that they make are just beans and cheese. Sorry I can't really remember what it's in it. Haven't had one in a couple of weeks.

(Thanks very much for answering this I've asked to no avail a few times in various places so it's been kind of a long-term curiosity.)
Figured so, although most chimis I've had have a meat of some sort in addition, and maybe some veggies. I've seen the ones at the parks a couple times in people's TR's, but am more used to them being served more formally with sour cream or other sauce and chopped tomatoes and lettuce on top. (As an aside, a long time ago I used to make chicken-fajita chimis once in a while. )

Some more followups: A few things I've gotten repeatedly are the Plaza Inn fried chicken, and the chicken fusilli at Pizza Port although I make something very much like this at home now and then (gee, where did I come up with that idea?) Those spicy-chicken sandwiches at Tomorrowland Terrace are decent too, if you add mayo or sauce to them. In general I don't care for cart vending and prefer the actual restaurants instead.

EDIt: forgot something the first time around: Main Street Mocha Sundae from Gibson Girl. Those have become a new regular item. Yummy....

Chicken Fuselli...or as the hubby and I call it, "the unfinnishable Pasta." for some reason it is rare that we finnish all of it. Close secconds:

    * Grilled Ck Salad at Cafe orleans..and you have to have the pomme frites!!
    * BBQ Chicken Pizza at the Cove Bar!!!
    * Meatloaf at Carnation Cafe
    * Little red Truck Corn dogs!!!

Chicken Fussilli hands down. Second to that comes the BBQ pork sandwich at the River Belle terrace w/ beans and slaw.

My favorite dessert has to be the Steam'n Chocolate Sundae in DCA, but that thing is a monstrosity!

I have two choices that were not listed. I'm not sure which one I like better.

    1. Chocolate dipped waffle cone with Cookies and Cream Ice Cream from Gibson Girl

    2. White Chocolate Chip Cookie from Pooh's Corner.

    My top favorites:

    Chicken Fussilli @ Pizza Port
Tesoro Island Chicken @ Blue Bayou
Mickey Pancakes @ River Belle Terrace

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. I voted other because Im not a fan of theme parks foods. So I kinda enjoy eating outside the parks.

Re: VOTE! Your favorite food item at Disneyland?

okay, I was totally gonna go w/ the turkey leg (my niece & I wolfed one down last month in front of Midway Mania) but then I opted for anything from Bengal.

But when I really think about it, my favorite food at the park is no longer served. I don't know why not, it's really a simple dish: do any of ya'll remember the huge ham sandwiches they used to have at Tomorrowland Terrace?

I remember one time I was there w/ my sis & cousin, we had lunch at the Terrace where I had one of these sammies (for those of you not familiar w/ the sammy in question, it was a basic ham sandwich, but with a ton of ham - can't remember what else was on the sammy since it was so much ham.) I was really young 'cuz I remember them not believing me that I would want to ride Space Mountain. We had talked about that attraction all day but after havin' such a huge lunch, I knew I would hurl if I rode it - which made them assume I was too chicken to go on.

Instead I went to Captain Eo while they rode it (which is another indication of how long ago this was) and after they came out I told them I had digested enough & I was up for Space Mountain. They were so surprised because they thought my "being full" was my cowardance showing thru, and they were excited about riding it two times in a row.

My favorite food item at Disneyland?

The spicy beef skewers at Bengal BBQ are great! It's unfortunate that this eatery is at such a bottleneck in Adventure - and really needs more seating. But those skewers really hit the spot. We seldom miss it when we visit Disneyland.

If I'm in the mood for sweets - I love the gourmet carmel apples in Downtown Disney.

Re: VOTE! Your favorite food item at Disneyland?

I had to go with a churro, just because I had my first one in Disneyland and there is just something about them. I have had them other places and they just aren't as good.

But there are somethings on the list I haven't ever had before so maybe next time I'm down there I will have to give them a try and I might change my answer. Where do you get the Monte Cristo sandwich from?
Wow...I've been gone a long time...but I'm glad to be back!!

Running in the Disneyland Half Marathon this year...first one ever!!! So excited!
