Haunted Mansion and NOS construction pics from 9/12

    Hi all,
I was at the park on Friday to take pictures. I got some of the construction in the HM/NOS area and thought I'd share. I took a bunch of other pics all over the park, but I'm too lazy to upload right now.

And a picture of TOT that somehow made it into the upload.

Construction photos! I love construction photos! Even if they are just of dirt and new paving. Sweet!

Well, it at least looks like they've started un-paving.

I had my camera on my Gorillapod. I set the timer, stood on my tip toes and let the camera do the rest. It was hard to get clean shots with the longer exposure since it was night, but it was worth it.

They've definitely started repaving. You can tell by the rebar and wood framing.

I hope they started paving already. Isn't that area supposed to be open in 11 days?

Day shots would have been a little easier to tell what is going on, but great shots nonetheless!

I think it is amazing -- where they have torn up the pavement. That is probably the first time that patch of dirt has seen the light of day since the mid 60s at least!

Nope, that was one of the few (or the only?) areas of the park that never had its smooth slurry pavement, the stuff you liked, replaced. I believe they're replacing it with a themed, textured surface, one that isn't conducive to guests slipping when it gets wet. I understand your frustration, but Disney has to put the safety of the majority over the comfort of those who're in your unfortunate position. I'm truly sorry about what's happened to you, but it simply wouldn't make sense for Disney to do it any other way. Let's not get too off-topic, shall we?
