I agree. Though I truly like the POD music much better, most though, the show stop. I just like the thought of the happiest place on earth. This is more about "you" then it is about sharing a dream...

Thanks for all the links, everyone. After listening to the "Disney Channel" pop version and the easy listening version on the commercial, I wouldn't be surprised if more alternate versions of the song were also recorded and will be released to target specific demographics.

The commercial version is certainly an improvement to my ear, but still...

The day the news about the new promotion was released, I was checking out the revamped Disneyland.com and Disneyparks.com and the song was everywhere. It was incredibly irritating.

I really am not looking forward to hearing this theme song for the next 15 months.

I'd much rather see the pop version than the commercial version. The pop one has much more energy to it and could easily be used as a replacement for "Welcome To Our Family Time" in POD or even as the main track for that new "Celebrate Today" street show.

I think I'm going to miss the Peter Pan music from YOAMD too. It was more classical sounding and occasionally gave me goosebumps. I thought the commercials for YOAMD were well put together, and so far the Celebration commercials look like a little too much cheese.

I agree that the tune is way to similar. That seems to be the case with a lot of pop-Disney songs lately, especially HSM and Hannah and stuff.

Probably! I found an instrumental version that I like okay:

click "celebrate you". I think as a whole this commercial is kind of shoddy. The TV one posted before with the slow coldplay-sounding song is my favorite so far and clearly is the most polished, so i hope the whole campaign looks more like that one.

In a highly unusual twist for me (the guy who rarely listens to music with words), I actually prefer the slower version with the singing. But I agree that that commercial is not very well put together.

I'm not liking the instrumental. Looks like the Disney Channel Pop version is the lesser evil.

i think he means the commercial i posted... it's not the TV spot, but one of several internet commercials i found on the site that are set to instrumental, and are very cheesy and cheap looking.

i think the official TV spot has the best overall feel and the best version of the song so far...

Yup, that's the one I was talking about. The TV spot looks pretty good to me, but the Internet commercial looks slightly amateurish to me. The camera work is not the best.

The TV commercial is sweet & the version of the song has more of the give-you-goose-bumps/inspirational vibe.

The first two versions would be cute for a pre-parade type of thing. Those ones are a little teeny-bopper for my taste, but cute.

I haven't seen the commercials yet, but the music is just generic pop music. I think it's better that they just stick to "Magic in the stars here at Disneyland."

I personally love this theme song. And don't forget that this "HSM" version is not the only version of the song.

Now is there a way I can put this on my phone with-out having to follow a link, because I don't have internet on my phone.
