    Impending Soundtrack

Simple enough. What music do you listen to on the way to Disneyland? What gets you in the mood, so to speak?

    Mine are:
    1. Metallica
    2. Primus
    3. DaDa - I'm Going to Disneyland
    4. Mac Dre
    5. Korn
    6. Eminem
    7. BB King
    8. My own music (PM if you'd like to hear some.)

To name a few. So what are yours?

We always start our trips to Disneyland with

    Dizz Knee Land by Dada

After that, a bunch of California related songs (Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, etc) because it's my wife's home state and we live 3 states away. Gets us in the mood.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Anything upbeat that will keep me awake, whether I'm driving or not. Of course, it's better when I drive, because I'm just as excited as the kids and if I'm not driving I'm singing and dancing in my seat! lol (just a bit, to drive hubby nuts lol)

But upbeat songs from country to pop to rock, and of course lots of Disney songs too! And if it's Christmas season.....a ton of that!
Counting the minutes......next trip ??????!!!! (to far away!!!)

95.5 KLOS all the way. Either Mark and Brian before 10, or classic rock after that. Sweet!

On our drive down we always play some ride music. By the time we get there we can't wait to get into the park. I wish we had a trip planned soon!

I love music, but I don't have any particular tradition of listening to it on the way to park. Depends on where I'm coming from and which people I'm with (if any), but I sometimes listen to whatever I feel like on my iPod along the way, which means it'll most likely be film scores or Disneyland music.

    Re: Impending Soundtrack

I have a Disneyland Party mix on my iPod for when we travel up to the DLR. It consists of:

    1. Andrew W.K.
    2. Hunter Revenge
    3. The Faint
    4. Justin Timberlake
    5. Queen
    6. Songs from Hairspray
    7. Rihanna
    8. Muse

And to end our day on the way home, we listen to Disney movie songs.

    What's your prefered film score?

    Off topic:
Have you heard Metallica's latest offering?

    Back on:
I also like the music playing walking up to the entrance from Harbor. Especially hearing ride soundtracks when I'm going with someone who's never been. I'm always like, 'Pay attention to that riff. You'll be hearing it again.'

Oldies from the 50's and 60's, because when I was a kid we'd always listen to K-EARTH 101 on the way down to Disneyland, which (at least at the time) played that kind of music.

My sister and I have Disney Road Trip Playlists

They're filled with disney music from the rides and the movies (I'll make a man out of you! is a favorite). And the rest is just random esoteric music (Rilo Kiley, Cat Power, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists). Luckily she and I have like identical music tastes so it makes for fun road trip time
