My family is considering DL on Christmas Day.
I'm just curious if anyone here has been to DL on Christmas Day and what should I expect as far as crowds?

My wife and I did our Honeymoon there on Christmas day. It can be pretty crowded in the afternoon (after present opening). Morning wasn't so bad though. But it really is about like the peak summer months, just not as hot.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
Some years ago it was fairly mellow, last year (2007) was possibly the single busiest day I ever visited. It was wall to wall humanity, extremely long lines everywhere. I got mt coffee at the Market House because the line at the Blue Ribbon was so long, and I was still on line for over 45 minutes as the line snaked outside the side door to the lockers.
I rode a couple of Main Street vehicles, but that was all I had the patience for. It was a great people watching day though.
In terms of special stuff, the Plaza Inn served prime rib for dinner instead of pot roast, but it also cost about 5 bucks a plate more!
Don't get me wrong, it's not that it wasn't fun to be there, but if I were visiting only once or twice a year, Christmas is NOT the day I would want to visit.
edit:
I almost forgot! They did close park due to the park being at capacity, so get there early, and don't leave or you may not get back in!

Thank you for the info!
That's kinda scary!
We are in SoCal so it wouldn't be tragic if we didn't get a chance to do everything in the park we wanted.
But my parents have never seen or been to DL at Christmas time so i think it would be a special treat for them.
We were planning on dinner at the Vineyard Room to avoid the DL crowds in the evening.
But I really hope it's not that bad this year...
What about DCA? Is it just as busy?

Like Mycroft said it's not so bad in the early moring but I would say around 1 pm it get pack. But as send the 50th (2005) it has been getting crazy at the opening. I've gone to DL on Christmas day send 2004 and planing of doing it again this year. DCA is about the same.
get there early as you can.
Thanks everyone for your feedback!

As everyone pointed out Christmas Day is one of the busiest days. The best time to go during the Holiday season is New Years Day. Typically everyone is too tired from going out the night before, and are at home watching the parade and football games.
