Should Giselle be a permanent character at the parks?

I think that she should a permanent character at both parks. We are months from the release of the Enchanted DVD and of course there's the debate on whether she's a 'true' princess or not even though Disney is marketing her as a princess.

But she could be a great face character in her green 'curtain dress' walking around Fantasyland. What are your thoughts?

YES I DO.

But didn't Amy Adams sign something saying they couldn't use her in the parks?

I'm saying no. It'd be nice to have her for a few years but permanent, not so much.

Idk.... it might not be too bad of an idea. If they're gonna keep the PPF around for a long while, she'd probably fit in there nicely. Maybe keep her out of parades for now, though.

In the curtain dress, not the wedding dress.

Re: Should Giselle be a permanent character at the parks?

Enchanted is tricky because animated Giselle is clearly based off Amy Adams. That brings up all sorts of legal issues(such as paying Adams royalties) when they use her "likeness" in the parks. I've read that they're not marketing Giselle as part of the princesses precisely because if they were to do so, they would have to pay Adams royalties.

I've no idea of the legal issues, but I love Giselle and would be very happy to see her in the park, and also part of a parade where "That's How You Know" is performed.

This will never happen. Amy Adams' contract with Disney is written up so that every time Giselle is in the park, she gets a royalty.

Re: Should Giselle be a permanent character at the parks?

This has always bugged me...

Giselle IS NOT A PRINCESS!!!!

She never married the prince and at the beginning of the film she wasn't a princess.

I still think they should have Princess Nancy there.

No, Giselle should stay away from the park.

Re: Should Giselle be a permanent character at the parks?

Yeah Giselle isn't a princess, but she should still be represented somewhere in the park, Disney has enough money to pay Amy Adams royalties for her character to appear in the park. I think the whole Princess Nancy thing would be cute but I don't know if enough kids would pick up on who she was since she wasn't as big of a character of Giselle.
