Re: Muholand Madness

Yes mullholland Madness is just like any other Monster Mouse ride. Tower of Terror is a great drop ride. If you're pressed for time skip MM and Fastpass ToT. IMHO.

Agreed. Although I did argue alot for MM because I think it is a fun ride ToT is much better. If you have to choose ToT is your best bet.

Re: Muholand Madness

I know you've mentioned that you enjoy wild-mouse type rides and MM is a fairly good one, but as I've said to you before, I'd much rather go on TOT. I think it has more thrills, is more scenic-ally immerse and is much more satisfying as a theme park experience. That's me though.

Re: Muholand Madness

I LOVE Mulholland Madness! It is very jerky, and, you fell like you're falling off the edge many times, but, I just love it. I can't compare it to any other DL ride, to be honest. Maybe the jerkiness of Indy. (Or worse!)

Re: Muholand Madness

I personally rate MM as only a so-so wild-mouse ride. I think that the one down a lego-land is a lot more fun. The lack of theme does not help it.

Re: Muholand Madness

I like MM. If you have ever been on a old wooden roller coaster, that thing feels safe. Plus you make your own fun on it. I still like it.

Re: Muholand Madness

I actually enjoy MM. You must sit in the front to get the real experience. It's not even close to being the ride that TOT is, however, it is a fun little ride...IF you have time.

Re: Muholand Madness

Mulholland Madness is a decent ride. Certainly if you have time you should do both MM and ToT - especially if you are going to be in the area of Mullholland while visiting Corn Dog Castle.

The lines for Mullholland will range about the same as ToT for a weekday in the summer. Assuming next summer is similar to this summer - that would be somewhere between 15 to 30 minutes. Both attractions have Fastpass, however Mulholland Madness may only offer Fastpass on busier weekends. Fastpass shouldn't be an issue though if the lines are short.

Both have their pros and cons depending on what you are looking for. If you like carnival rides which provide a pure visceral thrill - then Mulholland may be the better bet. Tower of Terror has more detail and a fairly intricate story if you are more into the intellectual side of things. Both offer similar thrill experience, so it does really depend on your preference. Personally sometimes it feels like such a chore to sit through 15 minutes woth of preshow and boiler room just for the two minute drop ride.

On the other hand similar rides to Mulholland exist all over the country, so if you can find one closer to home, that might make the decision easier. Also if you're a big Rod Serling fan, that might influence your decision.

Aas I understand it, DCA's MM is just an off the shelf carnival (that's typically a transportable temporary set-up) Mad Mouse ride with minimal theming added. The experience itself (and probably even the safety) is no different than the hundreds of similar rides in carnivals throughout the world.

I like MM, but I would choose TOT over it.

Re: Muholand Madness

They have a wild mouse in idewild, Pennsylvania that is pretty big and also one that is in Hershey Park, PA that is pretty big.

I been on both and kind of like both even though the one at Idewild is probably better. So this one sounds like it will be OK haha.

ToT does seem like a lot of story and theming for little thrill hehe.
Does it really convince you that what you see is actually going on? haha

I'm fine with the ride. I'd do it any day over Screamin', Maliboomer, & Tower, because I'm a wimp! LoL!
