    Things I love!

Since there's a "things i hate" thread, i thought i'd make a thread for those little things we love at the park. If you can't think of anything, STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE! jk
    But here's one of mine;

After you go down the second hill in POTC, you're enjoying the sites when all of the sudden, you get a small boost of speed and height from the boat behind you making a wave coming down the fall! I love that!

    i love being negative

    i love:

when the tea cups spin fast
    churros
    MC meets
    fireworks
    the off-season

haha That thread was meant to vent one thing, but whatever. I love the queue of the Indiana Jones Adventure. And going on a simple dark ride that snaps you into the reality of being at Disneyland.

I love walking down Main street in the evening.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I love Sunday Mornings in the Park when it's not crowded and you can ride lots of attractions in Fantasyland.

I love the PotC smell and hearing "Old Susanna"

I love the little fairy noise that is made when you put your ticket through the turnstile.

    I love seeing the Matterhorn.

    I just love Disneyland!!!

I love Disneyland when it is pouring rain at 11pm and NO ONE is in line for Peter Pan..........except me of course.

All of New Orleans Square, sights, sounds, smells, everything.

    Dole whips.

The part in Indy where you just pass the skeleton hologram and the jeep lifts up for a moment and then goes down perfectly with the music.

I love: when you have been driving for what seems like years and all of a sudden you start seeing the familiar turn offs from the freeway like Rosecrans and Orangethorpe and you know you are almost there then you bet your honey you will see the Matterhorn first then you do so you get to pick the first ride then you pull into the hotel parking lot and check in and they know you then you throw your stuff in the room and quickly go to Disneyland with that sudden burst of energy you have and then you walk under the bridge on to Main Street and suddenly...nothing else matters!

    You said one thing!

    Re: Things I love!

Let's see...the list is pretty long...

The first glimpse of the Tower of Terror on the Anaheim skyline.
Even more so, the first glimpse of the Matterhorn.
The palpable excitement in the car as we leave the freeway.
The view of the resort and backstage areas from the MaF parking structure.
The announcer's voice on the tram.
The backstage areas faintly visible from the tram.
"Watching your step and lowering your head" as you exit the tram.
Seeing the Indy show building from Downtown Disney.
Walking into the esplanade and having my backpack checked.
Hearing whatever Disney tune happens to be playing across the esplanade.
Catching a glimpse of the train station.
Standing in line at the turnstiles.
The cheerful whistle and "fairy noise" made by the ticket machines.
Walking through the tunnel on the right side of the station (never the left side!) and realizing hey, I'm at Disneyland again.
Walking down Main Street with the castle shining in the morning sun.

The list goes on and on...and I haven't even gotten to any of the rides yet. I'll just abbreviate the rest of the list and highlight a few favorites.

    The POTC smell.
The quiet organ version of GGG in the Haunted Mansion foyer.
Everything about the Blue Bayou. Everything.
At night, Space Mountain's wild blue lighting and strobes.
The total immersion of the Indy queue.
Looking across Rivers of America and seeing Big Thunder Mountain looming over the water.
Wandering through NOS at 12:15 am. Totally deserted, and the reflections on the water are so beautiful.
    The backroads of NOS.
Rocket Rods. Call me insane, but I actually liked that poor ride.
The portable hole in Roger Rabbit.
The wind and howling noises from the Matterhorn.
Seeing Rod play that piano like no other man on Earth.
Memories of my second ride on Indy. (The first time I was terrified, and didn't open my eyes for more than a few seconds.)
Memories of that giant orange soccer ball in the old Space Mountain. I want to buy the FX-1. If anyone knows where it is, give me a holler.

Oh, the list just keeps going. I'll probably post more soon. There aren't many things I hate at Disneyland.

    A few randomly selected loves:

    • Remain seated please...
    • Getting splashed into the Laughin' Place
    • Wake Up Jose!!!
    • Watching children talk to Buzz in the BLAB queue...
    • Push-the-Can in action
    • Going around the bend in the RoA where the crowds and walkways dissappear...

What a wonderful list! I seems like one could write an entire book on the subject and not exhaust all of the simple things to love...

    Re: Things I love!

The carefree feeling I get when I'm spinning around and around and around on the teacups.

The drop in my stomach as I'm going up the final lift on Splash. (shh, don't tell)The utter joy after the drop, knowing that I conquered my fears once again.

That first bite into a Gibson Girls cone on a hot day, the ice cream already melting over my fingers.

Flying over London... closing my eyes and for a breif moment feeling like I'm actually there.

I really love the call of the train conductors.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
