Cars Land Location Clarified / Runored AP Monthly Payment Plan

    www. originald.com/category/rumor-report

Screamscape got ambitious and superimposed a satellite image onto an overhead map picture. Pretty clever! The result gives you an idea of where the new land will be situated.
    .
In the rumor department, looks like DL will get it's own Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique that will give little princesses a makeover that will magically transform them into realer than real Disney Princesses. The attraction will be a part of the "What Will You Celebrate? promotion in 2009.

One last item. Rumor has it that come November those who purchase new Premium APs (or who re-new teir pass next year) will be able to finance the deal for around $24/month, after making a down payment in the same amount as the monetary value of a single day park hopper.

The monthly payment plan is most likely more fact than rumor:

Disneyland to offer monthly payments to Southern California AP holders (all 4 types)

How does that clarify the location of Cars Land? That's where they've shown it for like a year now. I think it was pretty clear where it's going.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

^Exactly. Disney released map views of where Cars Land would be last year.

Not only that, but the overlay shown on originald is scaled AND positioned incorrectly.

To your credit Uncle Bob, you have had a clearer vision or picture of how the new land will fit into DCA's overall landscape than many people do. I, for one, did not.

I agree with you, pengy, that it appears like Disney is setting the monthly payment plan into motion. In this bad economy, the payment plan will assist folks in budgeting for their Annual Passes as an alternative to paying one lump sum by cash or credit. It's also cool that the new payment option extends itself to all four types of passes. Thank you for adding the link.

Thanks for adding the links to these great maps to the thread, Mojave. I've counted three paths to Carsland. Looks to be extremely well planned out. With the addition of the new ToT path to Carsland, this means that one will be able to enter Hollywood from two different ends of the park.

Elsewhere in the park, it's also interesting to note that the Little Mermaid ride will possibly include a walk thru castle, along with fountains. The attraction will include a gorgeous queue and ride.

Yes the superimposed job on that size is veyr off. The back show building will basically be almost against the road in the southern portion or for a better idea the southern end of the show building will be pretty much aligned with the southern end portion of the parade building. The job done on that site shows way more unused space than there will be

these were early bluesky ideas borrowed from the original Tony Baxter facade. That might end up being what WDW gets for fantasyland sinc eit would fit better thematically

I can't remember with whom I had a discussion about this a few weeks ago, but the path from Cars Land to Flick's Fun Fair was still up in the air. I'm not sure they really need it because FFF is a somewhat secluded area and the theming change from small garden to wide open desert doesn't seem possible.
