    Warner Bros on Splash Mountain

    Really random question:
I vaguely remember when I went on Splash Mountain for the first time in June 07 some signs that has the names of Warner Bros characters in caps (I remember something like: "Look out for the BUGS"). I looked online (can't remember where, may have been hiddenmickeys.com fun facts) and it said that there were in fact Warner Bros characters on signs throughout the ride. When I went on it the next time (Aug 2 07) the signs were nowhere to be found.

Was I imagining this, or did they really exist?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't remember ever seeing anything like that. In the queue, there are quotes from Uncle Remus on the walls, and on the ride there are signs like Slippin' Falls and the gator with the "take me along" sign.

Wasn't there a sign "We'll see you in a WILE"? I remember thinking, oops they just misspelled it, but then there is the awesome WB character Wile E Coyote. Hmm...

Could it be a possibility that you saw this at Knotts?

From info on the same site, it also looks like there were signs in Florida.

Cool Re: Warner Bros on Splash Mountain

Better a tribute to Bugs Bunny than Florida State University as in the MK version. BTW, while I don't go for the hidden Mickey thing, the Disney Fun Facts section of hiddenmickeys.org has some great stuff!

It's so interesting that I'll repeat that for emphasis:

Well, Briar Rabbit's voice was Wakko, one of the Warner Brothers.

Hmmmm-the joke's not coming through. A Marx brotherish name as a Warner brother.......nope...not quite...good effort, though.

I must give props to the actual voice of Johnny Lee, known to listeners during the golden age of radio as Algonquin J. Calhoun, the Kingfish's lawyer on Amos and Andy. Great voice.

For the record, although I have hundreds of hours of many old radio shows, the golden age of radio is WELL before my time thank you very much.

Hiddenmickeys.org is chock-full of false information. Plenty of stuff that's true, I'm sure, but I don't take anything I read on it at face value. I got a big kick out of "learning" that most of Indiana Jones takes place underground...

Dude, what are you saying? We all know Indy takes place under the Jungle Cruise. Right?

I figured something I wasn't familiar with was another option; thanks.

Kinda like internet message boards, eh? I'm definitely wary when items aren't confirmed, but I first heard of many things there like:
One can ride with the engineers on the train
One can ride in the wheelhouse of the Mark Twain.
Stuff like the apple in front of Snow White, the pole and well in the Indy queue, etc.

And no one was finding out these things on micechat or mouseplanet or any other the similar message boards in 1997 unless it was on usenet.

    A bientot.

I laugh because the Warner Bros and Animaniacs was the first thing I thought of when I read "WB on Splash"
