Whitewater snacks. Just steps away from the GCH DCA entrance, decent food at decent prices, a couple of bucks cheaper than what you'd find in the parks.

Can't get any better than that in the resort.

The Whitewater Snacks nachos, to me, are large enough for 2 people. And, they are near $8.00. Also, Bengal BBQ in Adventureland is yummy. A skewer of chicken or beef are about $3.75 each, they also have bacon wrapped asparagus. Also, there's a cheap Mexican food dive a few miles from DL called "Tacos Mi Pueblo" that has good, cheap take out.

I second "tacos mi pueblo". a whole family could eat there for the cost of one entree at tortilla joes. The key is to order the specials on the wall above where the bottled drinks are. Great value and quite tasty! We'll be there Friday night, filling up on potato tacos! (mashed potatoes in hard shell taco and comes with guacamole) and if you eat there you can fill up on chips and dip!

And as my sister and I discovered when we had lunch there, a single entree is more than enough food for two adults (and so we wound up carrying to-go boxes around the rest of the day...thank goodness it was a LATE lunch).

My girlfriend seemed to like this item from the rainforrest cafe:

Awesome Appetizer Adventure - A great sampler for the truly courageous! Ideal for two or more, featuring our Chimi-Cha-Cha, Big Blue Crab Delight, Caribe Chicken Tenders and Coastal Calamari. $16.49

Can anyone vouch for how big it is? Is it really ideal for 2 or more as an entire meal?

The Awesome Appetizer Adventure is definitely big enough for two. My sis and I ordered that, plus an entree, and the entire entree (plus part of the appetizer...which I think was BIGGER than the entree) went home with us.
