Would it make sense if a Sub was being torn up by the squid anymore?

That is, if the Squid will even remain. I think it would be very cool if instead of a sub, it was a Sperm Whale fighting with the Squid. Or if they could somehow add a whale to the ride considering there was one in the movie.

I do not know. But if anything the squid part will most likely be the shallow water of the austrailian harbor of maybe the EAC. Just a guess. as for the squid I could not say

Was the DL sub even tearing up a sub? All I know is the WDW did. And was the Sub a Disneyland model or one of the 20k types? The reason I ask is because the picture near the lagoon is the 20k model.

I believe the squid was at WDW. First you saw the 20K sub on the underwater "ground" with a squid holding onto it and then the squid's tentacles floated outside of the portholes. That was in Florida.

In Cali, they sounded a warning and then you saw a flourescent squid holding onto a killer whale (?, again, help me if I'm wrong) and made all those 'zapping' sounds to repel the creature. It was off in the distance. And no, it wasn't a 20K sub in Cali, just a 'regular' one.

So a squid in Cali was present--but indirectly related to the sub. But Giant Squids, I thought, were regulated to the colder regions of the ocean, not Australia's coast. Then again, talking fish don't exist either, so I suppose they can do what they want!

Who knows if the squid will remain. Really though, will any of the original ride remain intact? The subs are getting a complete remake with the Nemo overlay, so I would say the only show elements that will remain intact would be those that lend themself to the new theme.

There would be no reason for the "sea serpent", the mermaids, the ice caps, or Atlantis if it's to become a Nemo-based attraction. All the more reason not to do it...

In the original Disneyland subride, the sub you are riding in gets attacked and you see bits of the giant squid out the window. Luckily the subs were equiped with an electrified hull that drived the squid away.

Hopefully the new ride will be more interactive and allow the passengers to electricute Nemo.
