Talking Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party Opening Night!!!

Friday, October 3 is opening night for Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party at Disney's California Adventure. This will be my first time attending this event.

Who is going?

What do you expect?

What are you wearing (if your dressing up)?

Who can't wait?

Don't forget to take lots of pictures and post a trip report!

Re: Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party Opening Night!!!

Went to opening night of the Trick or Treat party last night. It was fun, but pretty much the same as last year, right down the the calvacade. The Mickey's Trick or Treat on the Street calvacade had the same music and all from last year. Which is good! It's a cool little show.

I had one moment of joy when I saw the candy sponsor this year is Gharadelli! But they were only giving out the chocolate squares with carmelized almonds. I was hoping for the caramel filled ones!

The party was reportedly sold out for the first night. And it sure looked pretty busy. The longest line for the rides appeared to be Midway Mania, which I guess is really no surprise.

Re: Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party Opening Night!!!

Last night was pretty fun for a first timer. Boy did Disneyland give away so much candy! I have so much that I can pass it out at my house on Halloween. It was busy but lots of fun. Very organized. I agree with the parade it was short but cute. I will be posting pictures and a trip report sometime this weekend.

Re: Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party Opening Night!!!

Oh yeah, that was a nice change! The past couple years they only gave out 2 or 3 pieces of candy at all the stations, unless you went on the final nights. But last night, everyone was handing out handfuls! Took no time for my bag to get nearly full!

As for characters, I saw Mickey and Minnie, of course. Maleficent was at the Golden Dreams rotunda. Snow White and Poccohauntas were in front of the Hyperion Theater backdrop. Some Disney Channel characters were in front of Playhouse Disney (have no idea who they were). Also there was a Princess set up near Areal's Grotto where I saw Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Toy Story characters were in front of the Orange Stinger (Green Army Men and Jesse). Those just the ones I saw. Of course the characters rotated out every so often. They also had cool "Halloween" people dancing with everone at the 3 dance party areas. With them would also be some Disney characters. Like I saw Frozone at the Hollwood "Bat-Lot" Dance party. Those dance areas were always quite full. Everyone looked to be having a great time.

There is all this Maleficent talk...does anyone have a picture? I read about a sighting of her on another thread too. I really can't wait to meet her!
