Anyone else get free tickets to Disneyland in yesterdays mail?

I came home from work and my husband had a surprise for me. Apparently we received 3 separate mailings from Disneyland with a coupon inside for a free adult ticket to Disneyland. It can be used from Oct 20-something to Dec. 18 I believe. No strings attached. It was a gold colored tri-fold mailing with Goofy on the cover and for some reason it was in both english and spanish.

I've never received anything like this from Disneyland. One of them had my correct name and address, one had my husbands first name but with a different last name (we get a lot of junk mail with that name combination) and the third one was addressed to someone who used to live here.

I'm pretty excited as I didn't renew our ap's this year but at least we can go once during the holiday season (which is my favorite time of the year to go) and not have it cost an arm and a leg.

    Anyone else receive these?

Now to find out if I can upgrade to an ap with this ticket.......hmmmm.

Pretty much be on a select mailing list, some similar to last time, be an AP holder in the past and let it expire in the last year or so, and live in the right address/zip code that matches up with the Demographics that Disney Marketing has set. Some of the prior recipients were people not listed at all on the AP list of addresses, but in an area where Disney thinks the family has the right income and demographics (read into that a family with children), and then issues 1 free ticket to a specific person named on the ticket (non-transferable). Basically the same idea as the free ticket on your Birthday in 2009, the recipient won't come alone (therefore selling additional tickets), plus parking, food, drink, merchandise, etc.) and hopefully get them to buy AP's in the future.

If it is the same rules as the last offer, sorry, but no.

The ticket is treated as "Complementary", and therefore has a value of $0.00 (Zero) towards upgrading.

I got free annual passes to Universal Studios Hollywood in the mail a couple or three years ago. So did another AP friend who lives in my area, so we assume our neighborhood got targeted by USH. We redeemed them on the last weekend before they expired, as we assume others did because the line to get our passes was super long that day.

I never used them again after that day, tho' my friend did at least once because her fiancé wanted to go. Just didn't enjoy USH like I do Disneyland.

Actually, I my parents did get one ticket in the mail today......I think it might have to do with them being Chase Bank Credit Card Carriers....but we don't know for sure..........

Anyway, they were pretty excited about that!

I also received one in the mail and I was so excited because I planned a trip to Disneyland on Oct 19, 2008 like 3 months ago, perfect timing for me to receive this free ticket! The only thing is that I'm wondering if its actually "real". Do you know if it is? The card is exactly how you explained it: orangy-gold tri-fold card in English and Spanish and inside it says its a Park Hopper good from Oct 1, 2008 to Dec 18, 2008. And the address that sent it to me is Disney Destinations LLC, PO Box 10500 Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0500. What do you guys think? Is it real or is it a scam?

Disney Destinations LLC, PO Box 10500 Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0500 is a true valid address, it is where the Disney Marketing folks are based out of.

So long as the name on the voucher is in your name, and bring it and a valid ID, any ticket booth will exchange the voucher for a One Day ParkHopper.

This is not the first time that Disney has made this offer to selected people.

I think this 'offer' and the 'birthday offering' for next year and great! I love things like this.........to me, it seems like true Walt Disney fashion!

I got one. It was all in Spanish with an English translation in small letters. I guess they must be targeting the Hispanic demographic in my area.
