About LinkBacksThis year the unofficial goth day also known as Bats Day was moved to November 9th. The reason for the move happened to be that the day that it is normally scheduled for was one of the block out days for the annual pass holders.

are you sure that was the reason the postponed it over 2 months?
I thought it was because they realized that wearing black, during the hottest month of the year wasn't such a good idea.That day is still blocked for the lowest level of So Cal passes too.

that was my understanding as well.
Well, I think both reasons had an impact on the move.
the last Sunday in august was not a block out day for any pass except southern california select.

I've never been to Bats Day at DL, but am dying to go! I did notice another thread earlier (prior to you joining MC) that mentioned the 2008 Bats Day.

And I figured I'd missed it this year! I always count on seeing my friend Doomie & busting out all my black, but Veteran's Day weekend might be scarier than anything else I've seen at Bat's Day before. I'm excited that it won't be as hot, but the crowds...EEEK!

Here's my Bats Day story: I took Ashley on IJA and Aaron wasn't tall enough. Lynne and Aaron were on POTC and the ride stopped for like 20 minutes in front of the jail scene. Some goth dude got out of the boat, took the keys out the dog's mouth and put it around the finger of the pirate trying to get the dog to come over. Too Funny!
